When will update 9.20 1 be released in tanks. New game models in HD quality

As soon as the players had time to feel the rebalance of vehicles in update 9.20, we started a new batch of balance changes planned for 9.20.1. This time they touch UK research tree, US light tanks and the legendary Chinese machine Type 59. Before proceeding with the review of a specific technique, we recall the reason for which we do this. The purpose of the rebalance is to give a second life to vehicles that have lost their combat effectiveness over time. Another reason is to define and/or reinforce the unique role of vehicle types within each nation. Let's talk about everything in detail.

british technique

Your feedback during the Public Test has led to a number of changes regarding medium tanks and tank destroyers in the UK.

Instead of slightly increasing the combat effectiveness of the FV4202(P), the combination of strong frontal armor and increased engine power made it overly effective. An increase in the frontal armor of the turret gave the FV4202(P) a significant advantage over its classmates. To fix this, we rolled back the original changes: the tank will still receive a small increase in the frontal armor of the turret, but not the same as it was originally.

By improving the shooting comfort for the FV4004 Conway and FV4005 Stage II tank destroyers, we have made them more effective as fire support vehicles. But the increase in mobility was already redundant: combined with decent firepower, this made the FV4004 Conway and FV4005 Stage II damage vehicles that can quickly evade return fire. They rode out, inflicted great damage and left before the enemy could respond. We've adjusted their mobility again to make them more balanced. Now the FV4004 has a maximum forward speed of 40 km/h (previously it was 35 km/h), while for the FV4005 Stage II it remains the same as in update 9.20 - 35 km/h.

British heavy tanks Tier VIII and above were balanced, but it seems that they are all completely different. We made them into a daisy chain with gameplay similar to Conqueror. Now they are versatile heavy tanks with powerful guns, strong turrets and hulls, and significant HP starting from Caernarvon. Let's take a closer look at the changes.

Tank Caernarvon raised many questions with an unusual combination of heavy tank durability, mobility and armor of the ST, as well as low one-time damage and an accurate gun. We gave this vehicle a new gun with more damage per shot, thicker armor to make it a real heavyweight, and took away two 20-pound guns from it. Simply put, you no longer have to sit behind heavily armored allies. Caernarvon- a real "heavy", and he should act accordingly: rely more on his own armor and not be afraid to engage in close combat. The turret of this vehicle was replaced with a more armored Centurion 32-pdr, and the side armor of the hull was also increased. In order to balance the improvement in survivability and firepower, we have slightly reduced mobility and maneuverability.

Tank Conqueror was not "heavy" enough due to booking. Update 9.20.1 will make it an effective assault TT, greatly improving its overall defenses. Now it will be able to withstand hits from high-level tank destroyers, and a powerful weapon with impressive armor penetration and one-time damage will allow you to fight effectively at the forefront of the attack. The vehicle will also get a new top-end turret with heavy armor in the front, and the current turret will become stock. In addition, we will change the choice of guns on the Conqueror tank, removing two 20-pounders from him and giving him a stock 32-pounder. To prevent the vehicle from becoming too powerful, we have lowered its mobility and rate of fire. Despite the improved hull and turret armor, the tank still has a weakly protected lower frontal part and a commander's cupola - take this into account in battle.

Lightly armored but accurate tank FV215b with the rear location of the tower, not everyone liked it. He showed high efficiency only for individual players and generally seemed poorly balanced if his weaknesses and strengths were not well studied. Most importantly, this tank is significantly different in playstyle from the well-armored multifunctional heavy tank that should crown this tech tree. For this reason, the vehicle will move to the special category after the AMX Foch (155) tank destroyer, and a new tank will take its place at tier X Super Conqueror. Just like with the Tier X French tank destroyers (if you still endured and bought the FV215b), with the release of Update 9.20.1 you will be credited with the Super Conqueror. This vehicle is a logical continuation of the branch from the Conqueror tank. Heavily armored, with a good gun, it is quite effective in many situations. This tank deserves a separate review, which will be released closer to the release of the update. Follow the news.

British medium tanks seem to be the ideal vehicle for providing fire support from a medium distance. They combine an excellent gun, excellent gun depression angles, visibility and stabilization. Hide behind the hill, find a careless enemy and stuff him with shells. It sounds simple, but in fact it is not, because there is not always enough booking to fulfill this role. After a few accurate shots from the enemy, the tower becomes like a sieve - and you understand that something has gone wrong.

In order to reinforce the role of the mid-laner for the CT, we have improved the front armor of the turrets of these British vehicles. The given armor thickness of 240 mm and more at Tiers VIII-X will allow these tanks to fulfill their role and deliver headaches to the enemy with frequent ricochets from the turret.

Reviews about the FV 4202 made me pay attention to this car. Frontal armor of the turret will be improved. Mobility is also being improved: in update 9.20.1, the vehicle will receive the much-desired 650 hp engine, which will allow it to reach maximum speed faster, move on par with other medium tanks, and effectively perform its role.

FV4005 Stage II, as well as the vehicles leading to it, are not often seen in battles. Requiring considerable skill from the player, these tank destroyers are lightly armored but mobile, and offer careful gameplay and are unforgiving of mistakes. No wonder they are not popular. To give this vehicle branch a second life, we have made changes to the parameters of vehicles such as the Challenger, Conway and FV4005 Stage II, increasing their firepower and survivability, which should make the game on this vehicle more comfortable. These changes are based on player feedback and statistics.

The Challenger, which previously played the role of a medium tank, will return to the classic role of a tank destroyer, and dealing damage will become its main task. This British Tier VII vehicle will be able to seriously damage enemy vehicles thanks to a new gun with an average damage of 280 HP, which will be balanced by a horizontal aiming angle of 120°. This car will no longer be able to randomly rush around the map. Instead, you will need to act like this: take a good position and start damaging enemy vehicles, making the most of the increased firepower and turret traverse speed.

The FV4004 Conway will receive the B.L. 5.5-in. AT Gun as an alternative, capable of dealing an average of 600 damage, which will make the game on this machine more diverse. You can play at DPM with the 120mm L1A1 AT gun, or get used to playing FV Stage II with high burst damage from the B.L. 5.5-in. A. T. Gun. Simply adding a gun will not be enough to bring the FV4004 Conway back to life. For this reason, we have improved the vehicle's mobility and gun depression angle. The latter is now -10°, allowing you to get the most out of uneven terrain. The only limitation is the horizontal aiming angle equal to 180°. But you still won't need to rotate the hull when aiming (which could lead to vehicle detection). Also, it is no longer necessary to converge for a long time after a shot, since the spread from turning the turret is much less than from turning the hull. Lastly, the turret traverse speed has been increased to 18° per second, which will allow you to aim faster and deal damage to the enemy, reducing the chance of taking damage yourself.

With the exception of some individual moments that allow them to snatch victory, the FV4005 Stage II was not the best car in World of Tanks. In Update 9.20.1 we will fix this with a few changes. Thanks to improved mobility, this vehicle will be able to take up positions and escape from enemy fire faster. Along with increased durability, the FV4005 Stage II's firing performance will improve with increased turret traverse speed, 180° traverse and reduced turret spread. And last but not least, the gun depression angle of -10° will allow you to use the terrain, hiding the weakly armored hull and turret, while increasing the ammunition load to 20 shells will allow you to seriously beat the enemy. In other words, the vehicle has received everything it needs to stay in combat longer and effectively help allies.

If you're wondering why we skipped Tier VIII and jumped right into the Conway, just imagine the Charioteer with the top 105mm gun. We won't be making any major changes to this vehicle's stats, other than increasing the HPA to -10°.

Tier X light tanks

Possessing good overview and mobility, as well as excellent camouflage to remain unnoticed, Tier X light tanks have become excellent "scouts". However, their firepower was not enough to effectively counter peers from other classes. In Update 9.20.1, this will be fixed with a number of changes regarding shooting comfort, damage per minute, and one-time damage.

Insufficient firepower did not allow the tank XM551 Sheridan significantly affect the outcome of the battle on maps where "light" is of less importance. The top American will receive increased one-time damage for the 105-mm Lightweight Gun with the same rate of fire. In other words, damage per minute will increase, and this will significantly increase the chances of Sheridan against medium tanks.

At Rhm. Panzerwagen improved gun stabilization and aiming speed. Since it takes less time to make an accurate shot, the probability of being detected will decrease - and the survivability will increase. We've also increased the vehicle's rate of fire to emphasize its role as a fast-firing, agile sniper who plays on damage per minute rather than "trading" durability with the enemy. At the same time, we reduced the one-time damage so that the damage per minute for this vehicle remained at the same level.

Due to its small size, stealth and incredible agility T-100 LT best suited for active "light". However, in terms of firepower, he did not pose a serious danger to the enemy. We will increase his damage per minute to make him an active "firefly" that can also snap back.

If we take the light tanks of France, for AMX 13 105 detecting the enemy is just as important as dealing damage. We've increased its one-time damage to highlight this feature of it among the five Tier X LTs.

And the last. All five Tier X LTs (including the Chinese WZ-132-1) will have their ammo load increased to ensure that they have enough shells for the entire battle.

US light tanks

By analogy with the heavy tanks of Great Britain, the US LT branch will undergo changes that will allow it to be brought to a common game “denominator”. Ending with the XM551 Sheridan, it now includes five light tanks with a conventional loading system. The T71 has been renamed to T71 DA and moved to a mixed branch of light, medium and heavy tanks, making room for the newcomer T71 CMCD. The vehicle is modeled after the T71 but will not have a magazine loading system. At the same time, some changes in combat parameters will give a unique gaming experience. The M41 Walker Bulldog remains, however, it will no longer have a magazine loading system (76mm Gun T91E5), which does not fit into the overall concept of the branch. In addition, we also changed several transitions between the two branches.

  • Dispersion of the gun from movement of the Type 59 suspension reduced by 22%
  • Type 59 gun dispersion reduced by 22%
  • Dispersion of the 100 mm Type 59 gun when traversing the turret reduced by 25%
  • Aiming time for the 100 mm Type 59 gun changed from 2.9 sec. up to 2.3 sec.

The Type 59 tank appeared in the game a long time ago and still has not lost its relevance. With enough armor to block projectiles below 200mm penetration, the agility to quickly get to the right spot on the map, and the firepower to take down the enemy well (both at a distance and in close combat), this Tier VIII medium tank has it all. still able to operate effectively on the battlefield.

Despite all its formidability, this vehicle is very demanding on the player's skills, and in update 9.20.1, taking into account your requests, we will slightly increase its combat effectiveness. To make the Type 59 tank more comfortable to play, we will improve its stabilization and reduce the aiming time. Shooting on the move and after stopping will become more accurate and will take less time.

Along with the Type 59 tank, we also revised the characteristics of the 59-Patton, increasing the penetration of the armor-piercing projectile from 190 to 212 mm. Additionally, we made improvements to the T-34-3: we improved its armor to the Type 59 level and made the aiming parameters more comfortable:

  • Aiming time for the 122 mm D-25TA gun changed from 3.4 sec. up to 2.9 sec.
  • Reverse inclination angle of the 122 mm D-25TA gun changed from 0 degrees to -4 degrees.
  • Reinforced hull and turret armor.

We still have more to tell you about update 9.20.1, so stay tuned. And if you have questions or suggestions about balance changes, join the discussion on the forum.

Update 9.20.1 is approaching its official release, and we are starting a new series of public tests. Participate in testing and evaluate changes that developers have been working on recently. Here is what will be available on the public test server:

  • Rebalance of Tier X light tanks, as well as British and US vehicles.
  • Reworked personal combat missions with a new interface and mechanics that allow you to complete them faster.
  • Additional reward for high efficiency in battle - new ways to get bonds.

The changes can be found in detail in recent publications:

How to get into the general test?

Bonds and medals

Starting from 9.20.1, when winning medals in the Epic Achievements and Battle Hero categories, the player will receive additional rewards in the form of bonds. Please note: Bonds will not be credited for accumulative medals. The number of bonds is not final and may change.

Grand Battle Improvements

The following changes have been made to the General Battle battle type:

  1. The message about victory or defeat in battle has changed.
Added a new kind of battle victory or defeat message to make it easier for players to understand when and why the battle ended. The message has separate animations for win, lose and draw. Additional text shows why the fight ended. When a battle ends with the base captured, the capture progress bar goes into a "locked" state shortly before the message appears to indicate that the total will not change.
This innovation is applied to all random and ranked battles, as well as to the general battle.
  2. Updated tooltips for rewards, which describe various acquisition conditions. In a standard, oncoming battle, and assault, the conditions are the same, but in a general battle, the requirements are higher.
  3. Improved combat interface (HUD) in general battle.
The transparency of the background of the panels with the list of players has been reduced to make the information easier to read on a light background (sky, water, etc.).
Border symbols have been added to the top bar to improve readability.

Training Ground Improvements

Changes:

  • Irrelevant options have been disabled in the context menus of the vehicle upgrade windows, the research tree, and the vehicle carousel.
  • The rewards (credits and experience) for victories and defeats while passing the training ground have been balanced.
  • The rewards for completing the training ground are now displayed in the notification center.
  • Added a notification to players that they will not receive a reward when re-passing the training ground.
  • The crew recruitment window has become more informative.

Update 9.20.1 will be released on October 17 at 10:00 a.m. (UTC) and will contain a number of changes to UK, US and Chinese vehicles. In addition, we have seriously improved the balancing mechanism: now the vehicles of assembled teams will be additionally redistributed based on their roles. Personal combat missions have also been significantly redesigned - from the interface to rewards and completion mechanics, aimed at improving the overall experience. Bonuses will now be issued for rewards in the Epic Achievements and Battle Heroes categories. Find all the details about the changes below.

Servers unavailable

World of Tanks servers will be unavailable on October 17 from 03:00 to 10:00 (Moscow time) due to the release of the update. We kindly ask you to refrain from making payments during the specified period of time.

The clan portal will also be unavailable during the release of the update.

Premium account and compensation

Players who at the start of technical work a premium account or other temporary services (for example, camouflage) is active, a day of a premium account and/or a day of using the services will be compensated starting from October 17 from 03:00 (Moscow time) according to these rules. If you want to make purchases in the game, wait for the servers to start.

Vehicle rebalance

We will change the British FV4005 Stage II tank destroyers to make them more comfortable to play. Medium tanks from Tier VIII to X will have increased turret armor, which will emphasize their role as medium-range fire support vehicles. We've also changed the British heavy tank branch starting at tier VIII to provide a consistent gameplay similar to the style of play on Conqueror. The vacant FV215b spot at Tier X will be taken by the new Super Conqueror heavy tank, while the FV215b will become a promotional vehicle.

In the update, Tier X light tanks will receive an increase in firepower, and US LTs will be "shuffled" to provide a unique gameplay experience. Finally, we will significantly change the Chinese premium tanks, which have been outdated for years, in order to update them.

We have once again revised the combat parameters of the Super Conqueror, Conqueror, FV4005 Stage II, FV4004 Conway and FV4202 (P) vehicles, taking into account your feedback during the general test. Detailed information about this is in the article about changes in technology.

Personal combat missions

After analyzing your feedback, we have made significant adjustments to personal combat missions. Along with changing the conditions to match the realities of the game, Update 9.20.1 replaces reward lists with order forms and components that will make the first campaign more flexible. We've also improved navigation by redesigning the personal mission interface. We hope you appreciate it.

Bonds and medals

If you haven't reached Tier X yet, prefer to play lower tier vehicles and do it well, Update 9.20.1 will give you extra motivation to showcase your talents in every battle. You will receive bonds for rewards in the Epic Achievements and Battle Heroes categories. This new rule will only apply to rewards received after the release of Update 9.20.1.

Balancer Improvements

Now heavy and medium tanks will not be distributed randomly between teams. The matchmaker will split tank destroyers, medium and heavy tanks into smaller subgroups (according to their role in the battle) and try to create teams so that in each part of the list (top-middle-bottom) vehicles with the same playing roles are evenly distributed. We also satisfied some of your requests: we improved the logic of collecting teams, increased the chance of getting into pitched battle etc.

The update is available for download and installation via the launcher: 533 MB for the SD version and an additional 293 MB for the HD version.

On October 18, the problem with the accrual of bonds when receiving medals in the General Battle mode was fixed.

Update 9.20.1 WOT is officially released on the RU cluster on October 17, or rather on the night of Monday to Tuesday (October 16-17). The time to replace the FV215b is getting shorter and shorter. Many people have different expectations for each game update.

Overview of update 9.20.1

What will change in World of Tanks in the October update?

1. Replacing the FV215b in update 1.5.0.4 of World of Tanks and transferring it to promotional vehicles!

2. New Personal Rating and Hall

3. Changing vehicle booking:

  • AP of the T-34-3 tank in update 9.20.1
  • Reservation change of Bat.-Chatillon 155 55, Bat.-Chatillon 155 58, Churchill I, M6 in 9.20.1
  • Changed armor Valentine, Valentine II, KV-4 in 9.20.1
  • Changing the booking of T-44-122, T-150, STB-1 in 9.20.1

4. Changes in LBZ in 9.20.1 WoT

In the new patch, we have reworked the LBZ. And these are not only changes in conditions, with adjustments for difficulty or changed conditions of the "random" - we have made a new, convenient interface and revised the mechanics of completing task chains.

A little about the interface: the entry point to personal combat missions will be changed, now it will be in the hangar header, a new tab "Campaign" will appear between "Tasks" and "Achievements" (the name is not final and may change).
- In the hangar, LBZs are moved to a separate button.
- The main LBZ menu has also been redesigned. Now the interface displays the required order of performing Operations and Combat Missions.
- New operation selection interface, where you can see the progress of the operation. You can now track the progress of completing tasks on a specially created tactical map. This screenshot shows the completion of all 15 KBs with honors.

// New mechanics for completing combat missions: there are no more award lists. Now, for completing the final KB from the branch, you will receive a tank module, and for completing it with honors, you will also receive an order form.

"Modules" are needed to receive an award tank - completed all five KB chains and received a tank. But the “Order Form” is already more interesting, because. it allows you to skip the execution of any combat mission. That's right - if you get stuck on some task, you can now skip it if you previously managed to complete any final BR with honors and get the main reward for it. Including the final combat mission, but to skip it you will need as many as 4 order forms. A little more difficult, but worth it. By the way, the task can then be overfulfilled and you can get the “Order Form” back, it is reusable. Also, “Order Forms” are accumulated and transferred to the next operation, i.e. over time, as you accumulate, you will be able to skip the execution of not one chain of knowledge bases, but several. If enough "Order Forms",.

The progress of the LBZ, of course, is being carried out and after the release of the update, you will receive "Order Forms" for all completed final BZs with honors - provided that you did not miss the final Combat missions. And a reward for fulfilling the main conditions of the missed final Battle missions. For example, if you have completed Operation StugIV and Operation T-28 HTC by skipping chains of self-propelled guns, we will give you a reward for the main conditions. But these are two additional tankers, by the way.

The conditions of combat missions have been revised: the video will be added later.
- Other changes: But that's not all. We have added a lot of new things: new rewards, revised the mechanics of recruiting tank girls (now you do not need to receive them to start the next operations), and so on.
