Cottage cheese casserole with pears in the oven turns out tender and airy, reminiscent of the taste of childhood, because we were treated to similar casseroles in kindergarten for an afternoon snack. You may choose to use wheat flour or semolina, with flour the casserole is denser, and with semolina it is more loose and airy. In the second case, perhaps the casserole will break into pieces when cutting. But the magnificent curd taste and aroma compensates for this shortcoming.

Ingredients

  • 400 g cottage cheese
  • 2 chicken eggs
  • 4 tbsp. l. Sahara
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 5 st. l. semolina
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • if necessary, sour cream (50-70 ml)
  • 1 large pear
  • 3 pinches ground cinnamon

Cooking

1. Put the right amount of cottage cheese in a bowl, mash it with a fork or “walk” with a blender - then you will get a pasty consistency.

2. Whisk a couple of fresh chicken eggs. If you take homemade ones with bright orange yolks, then the casserole will acquire an appetizing creamy hue.

3. Pour sugar, salt and baking powder into a bowl. You can add a little vanilla if you like.

4. Now pour semolina and a few pinches of ground cinnamon into a bowl. It is important not to overdo it with semolina, otherwise the casserole will have a pronounced taste of semolina, not cottage cheese.

5. Mix all the ingredients and evaluate the density of the curd mass. If the cottage cheese was too dry, then you may need to add a little more sour cream or kefir.

6. Wash the pear and remove the core, cut the fruit into slices.

My son is two years old and in order for him to grow and develop in accordance with his age, I try to diversify his diet as much as possible. Cottage cheese is one of the products that is on our table almost every day, therefore, so that it does not bother me, I use it in different ways. One of my favorite recipes is pear curd casserole.

It turns out very tasty and tender, not at all like a dish of cottage cheese.

Let's start cooking.

Place 300 grams of cottage cheese in a bowl. You can take any cottage cheese that you usually use. I use homemade cottage cheese made from store milk, so I can’t determine the percentage of its fat content.

Add 3 tablespoons of sugar to it.

Rub the cottage cheese with sugar well with a fork to get rid of lumps.

Add one chicken egg to our curd-sugar mixture.

We mix everything well.

To the resulting mixture, add 2 tablespoons of 20% sour cream and 0.5 teaspoon of baking soda.

We mix.

The last ingredient is semolina. For a casserole, we need 4 tablespoons of it.

We got such a mass after mixing. We leave it for 5 minutes to swell semolina.

In a refractory form, greased vegetable oil, we shift our curd mixture.

We cover its surface with 2 tablespoons of 20% sour cream.

We put the form in a preheated oven and bake at a temperature of 180 degrees for 30 - 40 minutes. The baking time will depend on your oven.

The next step in the preparation is to bake the pear with granulated sugar.

Wash two medium pears, drain with a napkin, peel, cut into small pieces and place them in a baking dish. There is no need to grease the mold with vegetable oil.

Add 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar to the pears and mix.

Don't forget to add 1 tablespoon drinking water. Water is needed so that the pears do not burn to the form at the beginning of cooking. When baked in a mixture with granulated sugar, they will give their juice, which will turn into a thick pear syrup.

We send the pears to the oven - to keep the casserole company.

We check for readiness the casserole, it should acquire a golden brown color.

This is such a caramel pear after baking.

Turn the casserole upside down on a plate and cover it with a pear and syrup.

After a few minutes, you can see how the casserole is soaked in pear syrup.

Sprinkle the finished casserole with powdered sugar.

Divide into suitable portions. I get four of these servings.

Enjoy your meal!
