What means to remove weeds in the garden. Weed control folk remedies

Mechanical removal of weeds in the garden is a very laborious work and, moreover, often not very effective. After some time, plants reappear in the beds, depriving garden crops of the nutrients they need so much. The thing is that even with the most thorough weeding, small roots of weeds still remain in the ground, giving growth. There is only one way out of this situation - to use a special chemical preparation designed to completely destroy unwanted plants in the garden or in the yard. Such a weed killer is called a herbicide and is sold in any specialized store. There are also less effective, but also less harmful to the soil and cultivated plants "folk" analogue of such drugs - ordinary vinegar with salt.

Classification

Currently, only two types of herbicides are used to control garden weeds:

  • Selective. Such agents act selectively on one or another type of weed.
  • Non-selective. Herbicides of this variety, when applied to the ground, destroy all vegetation without exception.

Herbicides also differ according to the principle of action. A weed killer can penetrate into plant tissues (instructions for the use of herbicides will be discussed by us a little lower) can:

  • through the leaves to the root;
  • through leaves and soil to all parts of the plant, including seeds;
  • only through soil.

Recently, preparations have also been developed that destroy moss and saturate the soil with useful micro and macro elements.

In addition, herbicides can be contact or systemic. The first type of drugs has a detrimental effect on weeds only in direct contact with their parts. Systemic herbicides after contact with the leaves penetrate the tissues and spread through them, destroying all parts of the weed, including roots and stems.

A "folk" remedy, vinegar with salt, also classified as a herbicide, can be attributed to systemic general action.

Selective drugs

There are simply a huge number of herbicides of this type that do an excellent job of controlling weeds. Very often summer residents use for cleaning the beds, for example, "Zenkor", "Foxtrot", "Eraser", "Puma Super", "Lazurit".

Using any weed control agent on the site, it is mandatory to follow the dosage indicated in the instructions for use. At too high concentrations, these drugs can have a negative effect on both the soil and cultivated plants.

Principle of operation and use

Selective herbicides contain special substances that inhibit the development of plant tissues and cause their death. These can be, for example, ACC inhibitors. These substances prevent the formation of fat in the tissues of plants, as a result of which their cells stop growing. Also, herbicides of selective action may contain various kinds of elements that mimic plant hormones.

Any weed killer, of course, should be used correctly. Most often, the treatment of areas with herbicides is carried out by spraying. The solution can be poured, for example, into a spray bottle. It is desirable to process weeds in calm weather, trying not to get on cultivated plants. The time of spraying should be chosen so that within 24 days after it there was no rain.

Selective herbicide "2,4-D"

This drug is considered the most effective means of selective action. It has been used for weed control since the 1940s. To date, more than 22 herbicides have been created on the basis of "2,4-D", which are successfully used in agriculture. The main active ingredient of this drug is 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid. It is a white crystalline substance. The herbicide "2,4-D" is moderately toxic and belongs to the second hazard class.

The growth of weeds after treatment with this drug stops after a few hours. The herbicide "2.4-D" is produced in the form of 50 and 61 percent solutions, as well as 70 and 72 percent concentrates. It is mainly used to control annual dicotyledonous weeds in wheat and corn crops.

The best herbicides for the garden

For the treatment of beds with tomatoes, peas and potato plots, a preparation such as Agritox is often used. This herbicide has a detrimental effect on weeds such as lamb, nettle, shepherd's purse, cornflower, dandelion, wild radish, arrowheads, etc.

Cucumbers and other cucurbits can be sprayed with Halosulfuron or Bensulide. For carrots, Linuron is perfect. Herbicide "Lazurit" is used for all types of vegetable crops.

Best lawn weed killer

The most popular lawn treatment agent is the selective herbicide Lontrel-300D. This tool is very effective in the fight against both annual and perennial weeds. With its use, you can clean the lawn from such types of grass as sow thistle, Tatar Molokan, mountaineer, cornflower, coltsfoot, legumes, chamomile and, most importantly, persistent dandelion. At the same time, it does absolutely no harm to lawn cereal grasses.

General medicines

Herbicides of this variety are usually used not for spraying beds, but for killing weeds in the yard, along the edges of the lawn, along paths, etc. You can also treat the land with these preparations in early spring before planting cultivated plants. They are completely removed from the soil within about a month. Ferrous sulfate is the main active ingredient in general herbicides.

Treatment with non-selective preparations is also usually carried out by spraying. Some herbicides, both selective and general, are available in dry form. They are either diluted with water or scattered over the site (on wet ground).

Herbicide "Roundal"

This is the most popular continuous weed control today. It spreads through plant tissues within 5-10 days. Around the same time, the first signs of damage appear on their leaves. Weeds die about a month after spraying. Plants are best treated with Roundal in sunny, warm weather. There is no need to mow the grass. The greater the vegetative activity of the weed, the faster the Roundal will spread through its parts, and the faster it will die.

For cultivating the land before planting garden crops (vegetables, potatoes, melons, oilseeds, etc.), as well as for the complete destruction of grass along paths, hedges or in the yard, the Roundal preparation is diluted in a proportion of 80-120 ml per liter of water. Spraying or watering is carried out at the rate of 5 liters per 100 m2.

Herbicide "Tornado"

This is another popular drug, also often used by summer residents. This herbicide is usually sold in vials. The manufacturer recommends spraying with a product diluted in three liters of water. However, experienced summer residents advise using the Tornado herbicide a little differently. In order not to catch other plants, the drug should be diluted in a bucket. At the same time, the treatment is carried out with the help of a broom, gently “lubricating” the weeds with a solution.

Best remedy: Vinegar with salt

Of course, purchased herbicides are effective and easy to use. However, these funds are usually quite expensive. In addition, most summer residents prefer to use any chemistry in the garden as rarely as possible.

Therefore, many owners of suburban areas are trying to replace purchased herbicides with "folk" remedies. Acetic acid is usually used as the simplest and safest. For spraying the beds, its 5% solution is most often used.

To process the yard, you can also use a more effective "folk" remedy for weeds - vinegar and salt. Prepare such a herbicide as follows:

  • 3.8 liters of vinegar 9% are poured into a bucket;
  • half a glass of salt is poured there;
  • a little liquid soap is added;
  • everything is thoroughly mixed.

A weed killer with vinegar is used in the same way as chemical preparations. Spraying should be carried out as carefully as possible. It is impossible to allow drops from the spray gun to fall on cultivated plants. The best time for processing is early morning.

Usually, white vinegar is used to kill weeds. You can also take apple. Summer residents who decide to use this "folk" herbicide should be aware that in large quantities it is able to leach nutrients from the ground.

"Folk" remedy for weeds: reviews

Many summer residents use vinegar to remove unwanted plants in yards and beds. However, reviews about it on the network are quite contradictory. What do they say about this weed killer? Vinegar with salt in no way has any harmful effect on the chemical composition of the soil, since it decomposes very quickly into carbon dioxide and water, some say. According to others, the splitting process takes a long time, and the use of vinegar can negatively affect plant yields. But in any case, maximum care should be taken when processing. Do not pour vinegar on the ground. Processing is carried out strictly on the leaves.

Of course, vinegar does some damage to the soil in any case. However, the same "Tornado" and "Randal" can hardly be considered harmless either. They are much more expensive, but the effect of their use is almost the same.

What is the best remedy for weeds - it is up to the owners of the summer cottage to decide, of course. Someone prefers purchased chemicals, and someone, perhaps, prefers "folk" vinegar. In any case, the use of herbicides helps to save time on mechanical weeding. However, of course, such compositions should be used "wisely". Otherwise, along with weeds, you can "free" the garden from cultivated plants.

The destruction of weeds on the site is a “sick” and burning issue for many happy owners of vegetable gardens and summer cottages. The best folk weed killer in the garden - this, of course, is weeding. Regular weeding will certainly help get rid of weeds. In order for weeding to really be of any use, it must be carried out according to all the rules. At the same time, it is important not to undermine health, since the struggle for clean beds is hard, sometimes exhausting, physical labor. But some little tricks will help you easily get rid of weeds with minimal time and effort.

Why you need to get rid of weeds

It is impossible to imagine a summer resident who has never weeded his garden in his life. Weeding is one of the most important activities in the care of garden crops. Weeding beds with vegetables and herbs is a must, because:

What is dangerous weeds at their summer cottage

Weeds in the garden are not as harmless as many people think. The most dangerous weeds are traditionally considered:

  • wheatgrass;
  • Sow thistle;
  • Loach.

These herbs have very long roots that go deep into the ground. A rare summer resident has the patience to completely dig them out. Therefore, harmful herbs multiply again and again. The loach poses the greatest danger; in some regions of Russia, this weed is still affectionately called "birch". Vyun, or "birch" is a climbing plant with small ovate leaves and white or pink flowers, reminiscent of small gramophones. Loach tends to wrap around cultivated plants. For example, loach is often wrapped around potato lashes. If the summer resident is faced with such a phenomenon, you should not panic. It is necessary to carefully unravel the loach without damaging the tops of the potatoes, take it aside and carefully dig it out along with the root.

There are also less harmless plants that are dug up very easily, such as quinoa and wood lice. However, any grass is a danger to the future crop, because:

If you do not weed the garden, it will quickly will come to a running state, and cultivated plants will die, "crushed" by weeds. Those who do not smile at such a prospect should make a lot of efforts to deal with "uninvited guests."

Weeding is the most reliable means of helping to destroy grass in a summer cottage. Of course, there are other folk remedies for this scourge. Experienced summer residents who like to use "grandmother's" methods often prepare various solutions that inhibit the growth of grass, according to recipes from newspapers, the Internet and specialized literature. However, all these folk remedies, unlike weeding, do not destroy weeds, but only slow down their reproduction. And herbicides of industrial production, which really kill excess grass on the site, often have a detrimental effect on cultivated plants.

The only method, which will help to really destroy the grass - this is the well-known weeding. Of course, folk remedies also help, because the grass begins to grow more slowly, however, without weeding, getting rid of weeds will not work.

Of course, you can do the same as the hero of the old summer cottage joke - a summer resident who planted potatoes every year and complained that weeds drowned it out. The unfortunate owner of the garden tried all means of weed control: he treated the plot with herbicides, prepared various weed solutions according to "grandmother's recipes". And, finally, desperate to get rid of the unfortunate weeds on the site, the unlucky gardener decided: “Next year I will not plant potatoes in the garden. I will do the opposite: I will plant weeds in the garden, and then potatoes will definitely drown it out.

But it’s better to pick up a chopper and weed. The best means of getting rid of weeds on the site simply does not exist. Here are the secrets to perfect weeding:

Tools needed for weeding

An experienced summer resident will never tear weeds with his bare hands. There are plants whose roots go very deep into the ground. These roots must be dug up, otherwise there will be no point in weeding. In order to start a victorious and swift war with grass, a novice gardener will need:

How to get rid of weeds in the garden: other options

Another proven folk remedy for the destruction of weeds on the site is that the empty plots of the garden, in which nothing grows, but many weeds, are covered with a dark film. This is a fairly effective method, because the weed grass under the black film quickly fades and suffocates, especially in hot weather. However, this method cannot be used directly in the garden, where weeds and cultivated plants grow interspersed. It is possible to cover with a black film only between, aisles and empty areas of the garden.

Commercial herbicides can also be used to help control weeds quickly and effectively. However, the use of herbicides is permissible only if root crops are treated - plants whose fruits are in the ground (potatoes, turnips, carrots, beets). The use of herbicides is unacceptable if the fruits or greens of cultivated plants suitable for consumption are on the surface of the earth. If herbicides get on food greens, on the fruits of zucchini or pumpkin, on berries, you can get serious poisoning after eating these fruits.

How to destroy weeds and not lose health?

Weeding is hard physical labor. In order not to undermine precious health, it is necessary to pay great attention to safety. It is necessary to work with gloves and in closed clothes. The ideal option is a sports suit. It is recommended to apply a protective cream or balm from mosquitoes and other bloodsuckers on the face and hands. If it is a hot day, you must definitely cover your head with a scarf or panama.

Don't weed the weeds bent over "in three deaths". Those who stand in this position for a long time run the risk of earning sciatica, osteochondrosis and other serious diseases of the spine. Squatting is also not very comfortable, and you can quickly get tired. It is best to weed the beds on your knees. In order to avoid hypothermia of the knees, you can buy protective knee pads in specialized stores: both sports knee pads and those made specifically for gardeners are suitable. You can make protection yourself.

You should not weed with bare feet, because there is a high risk of cutting yourself on a sharp stone or scratching your leg on a protruding root. The tool should be comfortable so that corns do not appear on the hands. When weeding, do not reach far behind the weed, because this can cause you to lose balance and fall. It is best to approach the inaccessible weed on the other side of the bed. It is best to carry out weeding early in the morning or in the evening, when it is light, but there is no scorching sun. Gardeners working in open clothing should apply sunscreen to their face and body to avoid burns.

All these little tricks will help you quickly get rid of weeds and make weeding a pleasure. Nothing pleases a tributary more than the sight of neatly weeded beds of carrots, beets, potatoes, and other important garden crops. However, in order for the garden to be beautiful and clean, you will have to work hard. Weeding is the best way to get rid of weeds. The main thing is to carry out this procedure in accordance with all the rules, then weeding will turn from tedious and tedious work into an exciting weed control. And vegetables and greens will finally be able to breathe freely.

As soon as you start growing various vegetable and fruit crops in your garden, you will encounter such a problem as the presence of weeds. There are a variety of, and today we will tell you about the most accessible to an ordinary summer resident.

These herbicides are applied to the surface of the stem, inflorescences and leaves, over time, poisonous compounds begin to accumulate in the root system. In addition, their use does not lead to soil pollution, and therefore you can safely plant flowers and fruit crops immediately after treatment with preparations.

The duration of the effect of these funds depends both on the composition of the preparations and on the resistance of the weeds, but most often just a few weeks are enough to rid the garden of weeds.

But in any case, you need to know how to properly apply herbicides so as not to damage nearby crops. To do this, it is best to use a simple paint brush, with which you can easily apply the weed remedy without affecting plants and flowers. True, many means are dangerous for fish, and therefore if you have one, be careful.

Even if you use the most powerful herbicides, without knowing the basic rules of weed control, you will lose. So, you need to remember that the most important thing for an effective fight against weeds:

  1. Regularity - it is better if you work in the garden a little bit, but constantly, than do a general cleaning, but once a month.
  2. Choose the right tools. The best helpers in this fight will be a chopper and a pitchfork, because with their help you can uproot weeds without harming the plants growing nearby.
  3. When working with herbicides, strictly follow all instructions.
  4. You can use green manure plants, which are both a good fertilizer and an excellent weed control tool.

Now you know how to get rid of weeds on your site, which means it's time to start working on cleaning your garden and garden from weeds.

Despite the fact that the melon is a "purebred southerner", summer residents grow it not only in the south. And all because this culture is exceptionally tasty and very healthy. And varieties “for the market” do not always have high taste qualities, not like fruits from their own garden or greenhouse. True, the melon has its own "secrets", but they are not particularly difficult. Therefore, if you have not yet grown a melon on your hundred square meters, you must definitely try it, at least once!

Salad "Red Sea" with squid, crab sticks and red caviar is a light and healthy snack that is suitable for a pescatarian menu, it can also be prepared on fasting days when fish and seafood are allowed on the menu. The salad is simply extremely tasty and it is prepared easily. Buy frozen squids. I do not advise you to cook a dish with giant squid fillet, although it looks appetizing and tempting, it has a sharp ammonia flavor that is difficult to get rid of.

Columnar trees differ from ordinary fruit trees in their compact crown, small height, and lack of lateral branching. With a slight habitus, these miracle trees are distinguished by their ability to form large crops of large, tasty and beautiful fruits. On 1-2 acres, you can place up to 20-25 columnar trees - varieties of apple trees, pears, plums, peaches, cherries, apricots and other crops of different maturity. Our article will tell about the features of creating a columnar garden.

August can be a little sad - autumn, followed by a long winter, is already on the threshold. But the flower beds are still full of multicolor, and their colors create an atmosphere of warmth and joy. The rich palette of August flower beds mainly consists of yellows, oranges, and crimson tones. And it seems as if the garden has become warmer and the color of the sun has increased. What flowers should definitely be planted in flower beds so that they brighten up the inevitable departure of summer with flowering?

Peach jam with bananas is fragrant, thick, healthy and, most importantly, it has half as much sugar as ordinary jam. This is a quick jam with pectin, and pectin powder is known to reduce the sugar content in jam, or even make it without sugar. Sugar-free jams are fashionable sweets in our time, they are very popular among supporters of a healthy lifestyle. Peaches for harvesting can be of any degree of maturity, bananas too.

Coriander is one of the most popular spices in the world, and its greens are called cilantro or cilantro. Interestingly, cilantro leaves no one indifferent. Some people adore it and are happy to use it in any salads and sandwiches, and they love Borodino bread for the special flavor of coriander seeds. Others, referring to the smell that evokes associations with forest bugs, hate coriander and flatly refuse to approach bunches of cilantro even in the market, let alone plant it in their garden.

Saintpaulias are making a comeback and redefining the cute blooming violets that love to live on any windowsill. Trends in the "market" for uzambara violets indicate a rapid increase in interest in plants with unusual leaves. More and more admiring glances are attracted not by unusual colors of flowers, but by exotic variegated colors of leaves. Variegated saintpaulias are almost no different in cultivation from all the others.

Sweet and sour pickled cherry tomatoes with red onion and basil marinated with balsamic vinegar and mustard. Such pickled vegetables will decorate any festive table, they are very tasty and fragrant. Marinade filling is a completely different story: it turns out a delicious brine, the only drawback of which is a small amount. Onions choose sweet, red. Cherry - strong, slightly unripe, the smallest. Fresh basil is suitable for both green and purple.

My first acquaintance with hydrogel took place a very long time ago. Back in the nineties, my husband brought funny multi-colored balls from Japan, which greatly increased in size if they were filled with water. They were supposed to put bouquets or use them for some other decorative purposes. Of course, at first it was funny, and then I played enough and abandoned them, I don’t even remember where they went. But I recently returned to the use of hydrogel. I will share my experience in this article.

Watermelon and summer are inseparable concepts. However, not in every area you will find melons. And all because this African plant takes up a lot of space, is quite demanding on both heat and the sun, and also on competent watering. But still, watermelon is so loved that today not only southerners, but much more northern summer residents have learned to grow it. It turns out that you can find an approach to such a capricious plant, and if you want, you can get a decent harvest.

You can cook red gooseberry jam in 10 minutes. However, it should be borne in mind that this is the time required for cooking jam without preparing berries. It takes a lot of time to harvest and prepare berries for processing. Cruel thorns discourage any desire to harvest, but you still have to cut off your noses and tails. But the result is worth it, the jam turns out to be excellent, one of the most fragrant, in my opinion, and the taste is such that it is impossible to tear yourself away from the jar.

Monsters, anthuriums, caladiums, dieffenbachia ... Representatives of the Aroid family are considered one of the most popular categories of indoor plants. And not the last factor of their wide distribution is diversity. Aroids are represented by aquatic plants, epiphytes, semi-epiphytes, tuberous and vines. But despite such a diversity, because of which it is sometimes difficult to guess the relationship of plants, aroids are very similar to each other and require the same care.

Salad "Donskoy" for the winter - a savory appetizer of fresh vegetables in a sweet and sour marinade with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. In the original recipe, the vinegar is plain or apple, but with a combination of wine vinegar and light Balsamico, it turns out much tastier. Salad can be prepared without sterilization - bring the vegetables to a boil, put them in sterile jars and wrap them warmly. You can also pasteurize blanks at a temperature of 85 degrees, then cool quickly.

The main collected mushrooms: porcini, boletus, boletus, chanterelles, boletus, mossiness mushrooms, russula, milk mushrooms, volnushki, saffron mushrooms, honey mushrooms. Other mushrooms are collected depending on the region. And their name (other mushrooms) is legion. As well as mushroom pickers, which are becoming more and more every year. Therefore, there may not be enough for all known mushrooms. And I know for sure that among the little-known come across very worthy representatives. I will tell you about little-known, but tasty and healthy mushrooms in this article.

The word "ampel" comes from the German word "ampel", meaning a hanging container for flowers. Fashion for hanging flower beds came to us from Europe. And today it is very difficult to imagine a garden where at least one hanging basket was not found. In response to the growing popularity of container floriculture, a large number of ampelous plants have appeared on sale, whose shoots easily fall outside the pots. Let's talk about those that are valued for their beautiful flowers.

Everyone who has a garden near the house and who plants at least some vegetable crops in it must actively fight grass. It can be dandelion, wood lice, bindweed (birch) and many other unwanted weeds that prevent your future crop from actively growing. Taking away all the nutrients from him.

In general, it is best to get rid of it seasonally, that is, dig up the garden with a pitchfork in autumn or spring. Why with them, and not with a shovel? Yes, all because when digging the soil with a pitchfork, the weed root is easy to pull out whole without cutting. If part of the rhizome remains, then grass will grow again in the same place next year. And, as soon as this happens, it is better to immediately pull it out. But everything we talk about is simply not possible for many reasons. For example: there is a lack of time or the soil is being loosened using a walk-behind tractor or a cultivator, which accordingly transfers the root from one place to another.

That's why they came up with ways to deal with large areas with the help of chemicals (herbicides). And on small folk methods that can be implemented at a small cost of money. All this and much more will be discussed in this fascinating article. That is, what means are most effective for destroying this growth, as well as how to give the garden a decent look so that the grass does not grow as much time as possible.

Before writing this article, I decided to start fighting weeds myself. After all, how can you talk about something that you will not try yourself. To begin with, I searched for information on the Internet for a long time and came to one interesting conclusion:

1. First you need to buy a trimmer. Since I have a large garden, and a dacha outside the city, it was decided to buy a good gasoline one to last for a long time. But I’ll say right away that it’s not necessary to buy one, you can take the cheapest one, it will quite cope with its task. They are sold mainly in building or gardening stores.

By the way, if you have a lot of weeds with a thick stem, it is better to buy a trimmer immediately with a cutter. And in the future, if you need to cut some bushes, she will play a good role, doing it without problems.

2. Next, I bought a sprayer. Here I did not take the road, there is no need for this. And yet, for those who are interested, it can be used not only for spraying chemicals on grass, but also in construction for treating wood from fungus and priming walls from dust. Generally quite necessary thing.

3. Well, the last thing I bought a herbicide preparation to fight large weeds.

Well, now I'll tell you what I did with all this goodness.

At first, I mowed the grass and let it dry for 3-4 days. Then he took the purchased drug, diluted the contents in water and sprayed it all over the garden.

Honestly, all the actions were done, as it turned out, not in vain. The fact is that when we mowed, the grass began to hurt and then we finished it off with a herbicide. It turned out such an interesting result: the remnants of the grass with the root began to dry out.

In this way, I put the whole garden in order, clearing the soil of weeds. As you can see, there is nothing complicated, then let's move on to the next chapter.

How to get rid of grass on the site (on the lawn)

Sometimes you want to have a perfect lawn on the site without a single weed. What can we say about the site itself. After all, it is almost impossible to remove weeds forever. Even herbicides only help temporarily. But even then, they do not always want to use. But what to do if there are so many of them, and there are practically no forces and nerves. The most accessible methods will come to our aid.

1. Herbicides. This is the fastest and most efficient way. There are a sufficient number of them in stores now and they are all divided into two types:

  • contact - act at the site of the poison;
  • systemic - getting on the plant, the poison also penetrates into the underground part of the weed, that is, into the root. After that, the plant dies off completely.

According to their action can also be divided into those that:

  • electoral action;
  • continuous action.

Between them, the only difference is that the latter destroy everything that they hit and nearby. They will destroy even shrubs and all cultivated plants that you have planted. They can be used if you need a clean field without a single blade of grass.

2. Mechanical. The process consists in digging, cutting or pulling out weeds. This is also an effective method, but rather laborious. You will have to process the site in this way several times. After all, not all grass sprouts at the same time. Also, the root of some weeds cannot be completely removed, as it is very large. And even from the rest of a small part in the ground, the plant will still germinate. Also mowing on the lawn is not effective, because along with the weed, you cut the ornamental grass.

3. Mulching. This is a very effective, but at the same time long method. The fact is that the soil is covered with any material: agro-film, crushed stone, bark, leaves. This cover deprives the soil of sunlight, due to which photosynthesis does not occur. Therefore, a plant without light simply does not develop and dies.

The downside is that the whole process should take more than a year. In the spring you cover the soil and only the next summer you remove the material. The result will amaze you! But its plus is that moisture and heat are retained for a long time.

4. Folk. Previously, people used to actively use only this way. And it also helped a lot. After all, everyone in the kitchen has salt and vinegar. You just need to act carefully so as not to hurt our lawn and crops on the site.

You can sprinkle salt on slightly moistened grass or make a solution out of it: 1/2 cup salt, hot water, a few drops of liquid soap. Spray plants with a spray bottle.

Vinegar is usually used table. Mix salt (125 gr.), Dishwashing liquid (1 tablespoon) and vinegar (1 liter). Also spray in the morning. It is desirable that the weather be dry and hot, then the result will be faster and better.

See, it's pretty simple. The main thing is to take precautions when using harmful substances. Such methods will help you use your time not only for the grass, but also for your favorite activities.

A remedy for grass and weeds so that it does not grow

There is the most effective and oldest method of dealing with grass that almost all gardeners know. Just on your site should not be empty spaces. If you have already harvested from some garden, then sow mustard, radish, wheat, peas in this place. They may not have time to ripen, but next year you can simply dig them up and you will have additional fertilizer.

You can also use flour. And not just any, but corn. Due to the high content of gluten in it, grass will not grow for a very long time. It is enough for her to sprinkle the beds between shoots and for a while you will forget about unnecessary vegetation.

The boiling water also helps. Pour it over the top of the weed. It will take about a whole teapot. just do it carefully so as not to get on your landings. The procedure will need to be repeated several times, since the first time it is not always possible to kill the plant.

Fire is a good plant killer. Many people know about this. But he is also quite dangerous. You will need a blowtorch. Quickly and without stopping in one place, walk along the edge of the garden. Unnecessary plants will burn quickly. The main thing is not to burn your seedlings.

Ammonium nitrate is also a good helper in weed control. Only in this case, the concentration of fertilizer must be greatly increased. A bucket of water will require 3 kg. saltpeter. Spray only the leaves with this solution. For a person, this is completely harmless, since it quickly evaporates in the form of ammonia.

Also, any folk remedies that I will describe in more detail below will help you. But these methods will work for you too. Worth a try, maybe one will become your favorite.

We get rid of grass and weeds between paving slabs

We lay paving slabs for a reason. Firstly, it is beautiful and clean during bad weather. And secondly, there is no unnecessary vegetation. But it turns out that she still makes her way between this beauty. How to deal with it?

There are several easy ways:

1. Salt. It can be used in both dry and liquid form. For the first method, it is enough to slightly moisten the grass and sprinkle with salt. Or dissolve 0.5 cups of salt in a bottle of hot water. Using a spray gun, treat all the seams of the tile. The grass will first turn yellow, and then completely dry out.

2. Salt and vinegar. For this solution, we need to fill the bottle with 150 gr. salt and pour 1 liter of vinegar 9%. Add about 1 tablespoon of any liquid detergent (dishwashing liquid or soap) there. Shake well and treat all seams overgrown with grass.

3. Soda. Make a solution of 5 liters. water 3 tablespoons of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of detergent. Water the weeds with this solution and wait for the result. If necessary, the procedure can be repeated without harm to the soil.

Such methods are quite effective and simple, because everyone has these tools at hand. But the paving slab site will always delight you with its well-groomed appearance.

How to get rid of grass and weeds in a cemetery, once and for all?

Not everyone can visit the cemetery often enough to remove those weeds that grow endlessly. But even coming a couple of times a year, I want to see a well-groomed grave of loved ones. Therefore, the majority of the question arises: how to make sure that the grass either does not grow, or there is a minimum of it?

There are several methods of dealing with annoying weeds, and we will now analyze them.

1. Mulching. This is a pretty effective way to deal with weed, but don't expect quick results. Its meaning is that it is necessary to close the soil with any material that does not let the sun's rays through. It can be any dark synthetic film, crushed stone, sawdust, bark or foliage. At the same time, this method has an aesthetic and decorative appearance.

Keep in mind that such a coating should lie until next summer. That is the whole year!

2. Mechanical. It is quite labor intensive and time consuming. The whole process is that you have to pull out, dig or mow the grass with your hands. Its disadvantage is that it is not always possible to completely remove the root. And this leads to the fact that the plant grows again. But frequent cutting weakens the roots, and some die altogether.

3. Folk. It has already been mentioned more than once. The thing is, they are quite effective. Here you can use a saline solution or just salt, as well as a vinegar solution. To make the first, it is enough to dissolve half a glass of salt in hot water and spray the weeds. Dry, you simply fall asleep plants that you can moisten before that or not. If you decide to use vinegar, then dilute half a glass of salt in a liter of vinegar and add a little liquid soap so that the mixture lingers on the plants.

4. Chemical. If you do not have fresh flowers planted, then feel free to process everything with them. And even behind the fence. Since there are many abandoned and neglected graves, where all this dirty trick comes from. It should be processed before the seeds appear. The stores now offer a variety of poisons. The packages have detailed instructions for their use. But take precautions. After all, it's chemistry.

Choose any method convenient for you and act. But do not assume that you can get rid of weeds forever. After all, there are a lot of seeds in the earth and air. And some we bring on our shoes. Therefore, part will still wait in the wings.

Folk remedies for grass (vinegar and not only ...)

Previously, there were no herbicides. People somehow managed to cope with all this rubbish with folk remedies. And they did help, and very well. Now I will just tell you about them.

Vinegar and salt. It's a pretty killer solution. So try to use away from your crops. Such a tool kills weeds once and for all. If you decide to still use it, then mix a glass of salt with 3 liters of 9% vinegar. Also add some liquid soap. So the solution will linger a little on the leaves. It will act even stronger and faster when it is hot and dry, calm weather outside.

Alcohol. Let's take ordinary vodka (150 g per bucket of water) or alcohol with water in a ratio of 1: 10. Water the garden bed with this 2-3 weeks before sowing. It stimulates the germination of seeds, that is, all the grass will sprout at the same time. All that remains is to tear it out along with the root and that's it. She won't be anymore.

Soda. This is a completely harmless way to deal with grass. Since it is a natural alkali, there will be no harm to the soil. Pour the solution (1 tablespoon per 1.5 liters of water and a couple of drops of dish detergent) over the weed and wait for the result. And he won't keep you waiting long!

Sawdust. Or otherwise mulching. But this is in case when all your beds are always in one place. To do this, sprinkle sawdust on their edges in the fall and dig it up. In the spring, just sprinkle and leave. The entire root system will not be able to pass through these barriers, and even without the sun. From which it will simply die.

Now you don't know which one to choose. Or maybe you have one that no one knows about? Just write to us, because your opinion is very important to us.

Grass between beds. How to get rid?

Throughout the summer season, gardeners spend a lot of time weeding. From early morning until late at night, they fight weeds with choppers or just gloved hands. And it is not possible to remove them completely. After all, they grow again and again. For this case, there are several options for how to get rid of grass.

1. This is again mulching. It can also decorate your garden. If your beds are fenced off, there are permanent ones, then this will only simplify everything for us. After all, you can simply fill the paths with concrete or lay out paving slabs. But I agree that it is very costly. Then we do it easier to fall asleep from pine bark, straw or foliage. You can also use dark synthetic material. All this will not allow the sun's rays to penetrate and nourish unnecessary plants. Therefore, soon they will die altogether.

2. Classic. This option is used by the majority and constantly. The process is that the weeds must be dug up with a pitchfork. It will not be possible to get rid of all the grass, because it sprouts every day.

You can also simply mow it between rows as close to the root as possible. Then the plant will get sick, as it spends a lot of energy on the growth of new leaves. This means that all the nutrients from the roots will be spent on restoration. Therefore, the more often you mow, the faster the weed will die altogether.

3. Chemical. This is the most dangerous option. After all, herbicides are poison, and therefore harmful. You need to act according to the instructions and be very careful not to get on our cultivated plants.

4. Lack of empty areas. That is, the more you plant, the fewer tracks. And from this it is concluded that there will be much less grass. You can also mix plants: annuals with perennials. Or to those that grow for a long time, you can plant those that ripen quickly. Therefore, they can be planted again.

These are quite effective methods, but they also take time. But it may be worth not paying attention to weed in some places. Let it grow for itself, and the nerves will be in order.

We get rid of the grass on the site with the help of chemistry

It is very difficult to get rid of something that grows out of control. From year to year the same thing, and the summer is very short. Therefore, I don’t really want to spend it on weed control. You can use herbicides to help you do everything quickly and efficiently.

To do this, stores sell products that will help destroy certain types of weeds or absolutely everything. What method of struggle will you choose?

There are several types of herbicides:

1. Those that act only at the place where they fall - contact;

2. And those that, getting on the stems and leaves, penetrate the root system and completely destroy the plant - systemic.

They also differ in the area of impact.

Selective;

Solid.

Solid differs in that it acts on the entire surface on which it hit and even nearby. That is, it completely destroys everything, even shrubs. Therefore, process where there are no cultural plantings nearby. But think for yourself what can remain after such processing and what will happen to the soil and insects?

As I said, there are many chemicals, but the most popular are:

  • Agrokiller;
  • Tornado;
  • Lontrel - zood;
  • Hurricane;
  • Lapis lazuli;
  • Bis - 300;
  • Roundup;
  • Swift;
  • Glyfor;
  • Lintur.

Agrokiller and Tornado are the strongest. They can even do hogweed, wheatgrass, horsetail and even shrubs with trees. Therefore, they are perfect for very overgrown areas and fields for planting crops.

It is quite simple to use a tornado for 3 liters of water, 25-50 ml is taken. facilities. Approximately 100 m² is enough for processing.

But remember the most important thing when you spray the diluted solution, make sure that there is no rain for at least 6 hours. This applies to all herbicides.

Speaking of these drugs, there are pretty good reviews, so buy and use. There will be no grass, I guarantee!
