Blend the nuts in a blender until they form fine crumbs. The blender will do the job perfectly in 3-4 minutes if you use high speed.

After the mixture in the saucepan thickens and brews, add butter and add chopped peanuts. My kids love the feel of the nuts in the paste, so I didn’t crush them very finely. Boil the mixture and cook until it reaches your desired thickness.

Don't forget that the mixture will thicken even more as it cools. Stir the contents of the saucepan with a whisk from time to time. Then remove from heat and cool.

Place in a jar, close the lid and store Nutella in the refrigerator.

Preparation

  1. When you buy dark chocolate, pay attention to the label. Apart from cocoa butter, there should be no more vegetable fats in the composition. Don't skimp on chocolate, as this is the main component of delicious homemade Nutella.
  2. Rinse the chickpeas thoroughly and soak in cold boiled water overnight. Don't skimp on the water, then add it. Chickpeas will not take in more liquid than they need.

One summer day, the Ferrero family's confectionery receives a large order from city managers to prepare a large batch of the Gianduja delicacy. Pietro, together with his assistants, reproduced hundreds of nut bars for his customers and went to bed with a light heart.

But in the morning the entire huge batch of delicacies had melted! Ferrero came up with an idea that brought him even more income and popularity. An advertisement on a jar of nut butter convinced the buyer that a serving of this tasty and healthy delicacy satisfies 70% of the body’s daily need for vitamins, minerals, sugar and fats. But an attempt to verify this statement shocked the expert commission! In order for the body to actually receive 70% of the norm of essential vitamins and minerals, you need to eat not 15 g, but all 150 g of chocolate-nut butter. At the same time, an ordinary sandwich with a centimeter layer of Nutella is several times more than the human body needs for sugar! What do we have in the end? A huge amount of sugar, richly flavored with palm oil, cocoa powder of inferior quality, completely useless powdered milk, and on top of that, a most harmful food additive, prohibited for consumption in most countries of the world! The Nutella recipe is very simple. First, prepare the hazelnuts. You can buy them already fried, then you just need to peel them. But it’s better to fry them yourself, right before cooking, then they will become more aromatic, like the chocolate paste itself. And it will be much easier to clean. It's worth it, honestly!

We will “roast” the hazelnuts in the oven. Heat it to 180 degrees, cover a baking sheet with parchment paper and sprinkle hazelnuts on top. We put everything in the oven for 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes, then take it out and let it cool for about 10 minutes. If you want your chocolate spread to be like the real thing, I once again recommend adding the roasting process to the homemade Nutella recipe.

Now the most unpleasant part is peeling the nuts. But Nutela without this process will not be smooth enough. I know that in some places you can buy hazelnuts straight away without skins, but I couldn’t find them. Be patient, turn on an interesting video on YouTube, for example, mine, just during this time the nuts will clear, and chat with me 😀

The result will be about 500 ml of nuts. But I want to warn you that homemade Nutella itself will take up half the space (or a little more) in the jar, so prepare not the largest container.

Now we take out a good blender. It doesn’t have to be professional, you can also use a submersible chopper, but you need to be very careful when grinding, do it using impulsive pressures and much longer, about 15 minutes, stirring with a spoon. Make sure that the blender does not overheat or burn out! Also in this case, you can add a couple of tablespoons of liquid hazelnut oil, you will achieve the desired smoothness faster.

How to make Nutella at home without burning your regular blender? Take a sniff! 😀 The smell of burning reveals the last stage of what is permitted. In general, I highly recommend taking a closer look at a higher quality “car”; I have never regretted purchasing it. And now we are trying to achieve the most homogeneous consistency; homemade chocolate spread should turn out to be as smooth and pleasant in texture as store-bought.

Now it's time for all the other ingredients. Add cocoa, salt, powdered sugar or maple syrup and vanilla. If you have a vanilla pod, cut it in half lengthwise and use a knife to remove the seeds. If there is vanillin, put it on the tip of a knife. If vanilla essence - one teaspoon. Vanilla essence is the most convenient ingredient listed.

Since I try not to eat sugar at all, for the first time I decided to replace it with honey. And I was wrong! After adding it, the consistency of Nutella became not at all what I would like, very hard and loose. Therefore, honey cannot be substituted! Maple syrup is great and gives an excellent taste too. I didn’t have it on hand, hence the powder. Sometimes you can.

Turn on the blender for another minute to mix everything thoroughly. It's a shame that you can't smell this amazing scent! Real Nutella!

And... that's it! Now you know how to make chocolate spread at home! Pour it into a jar. It will be very liquid right away due to the heating of the blender, but then it will cool and thicken a little.

Toast the bread or take some delicious crispbread, spread chocolate spread on top and add banana slices. Divine combination!

  5. Add cocoa, powdered sugar or maple syrup, vanilla, essence or vanillin, and a pinch of salt to the nut butter.
  6. Grind everything in the blender for another 1 minute, then pour the chocolate paste into a jar.
  7. Serve with crispy toast and bananas or.
  8. Now you know how to make Nutella at home!
