How to disassemble a submersible water jet pump. General information about the repair of Gilex pumps for various purposes

It is not always possible to repair a Gilex pump on your own, but there are a number of minor faults that do not necessarily require contacting a service center to resolve. Homeowners who operate pumping units of this brand at home will do well to know what to do in the event of a particular breakdown. After all, it is extremely uncomfortable to go without water supply for a long time; it is better to try to disassemble and repair the Gilex device with your own hands. If this fails, you can always take it to specialists.

Possible causes of failure

The main thing is not to cause even more damage to the unit when attempting repairs, so you need to act carefully and start by finding out the causes of the malfunction. To provide water supply to private households, 2 types of pumping devices are used:

  • submersible pumps Gileks Vodomet series;
  • surface pumping stations Gilex Jumbo.

The first ones are used to lift water from deep wells or wells with a depth of 20 m and supply water inside the home. They are constantly under water, being submerged at the bottom of the well. Surface stations are located outside, in a technical room or caisson, and are installed to pump water from wells or containers whose depth does not exceed 20 m.

Before thinking that the Gilex submersible pump itself is faulty, it is advisable to make sure that the well supplies enough water. If its performance has decreased due to various reasons (for example, silting), then when the level drops, the unit’s automation will not allow it to turn on “dry”. Therefore, periodic failures of a household appliance most likely indicate a lack of water resources.

The second point: it is impossible to determine the breakdown and its cause when the unit is immersed in the well; in any case, it will have to be raised to the surface. An exception is the failure of the circuit breaker through which electricity is supplied to power the Vodomet pump. In this situation, you won't have to remove it.

Possible reasons for downhole unit failure are as follows:

  • failure of insulation or mechanical damage to the power cable;
  • rupture of the electrical circuit inside the pump;
  • wear of impeller parts;
  • wear of engine bearings;
  • abrasion of contact brushes;
  • short circuit in the winding and, as a result, its burnout.

The first 3 reasons can be detected and eliminated independently. If the unit makes a hum when turned on, but does not pump, and when touched, an electric shock follows, then the capacitor has burned out or dried out. As for replacing bearings, brushes or rewinding the motor, you will have to contact a service center for this.

Malfunctions of pumping stations

These complex devices are quite reliable in operation. The first problems may arise 4-5 years after the start of operation, provided that no emergency situations occurred in which the pump had to rotate the impeller without water. And even then, these malfunctions rarely occur in the engine of the unit, but appear in other elements of the station:

  • membrane hydraulic accumulator;
  • pressure switch;
  • check valve

The most common problem leading to complete failure of the pump motor is a malfunction of the check valve. It begins to let water through due to wear or clogging, the supply pipe is emptied, and the impeller rotates “dry”. The rubber “bulb” (membrane) installed in the accumulator tank may also lose its seal. There are also problems with the pressure switch, then the unit does not turn on when there is water supply in the house.

Troubleshooting

Malfunctions associated with a loss of electricity supply to the pump are characterized by the absence of signs of “life” when the power is turned on.

To check the integrity of the electrical circuit, you need to use a continuity tester or a multimeter turned on in resistance measurement mode. If the power cable is intact, then you need to move on to the inside of the unit, for which you will have to disassemble it.

For disassembly you will need a standard set of plumbing tools, available in every home and including:

  • screwdrivers;
  • pliers;
  • keys of different sizes;
  • wire cutters

As an example, consider the process of disassembling the Gilex borehole pump model Vodomet 60/52. The sequence of work is as follows:

  1. Disconnect the unit from the electrical network and disconnect the suspension device.
  2. Place the household appliance in a vice, placing thick rubber gaskets between the jaws and the body. Unscrew the screws of the cover, in which there are holes for water intake, and remove it.
  3. Access will open to the shaft with impellers, intermediate washers and cups mounted on it. They must be unscrewed and removed, laying them out in the prepared place in order of priority, so as not to be confused during assembly.
  4. Place the housing in a vertical position so that the shaft points down. To do this, you will need a surface with a hole or a suitable stand.
  5. With a light blow of a hammer on the top cover through the wooden adapter, move the plastic retaining ring several turns of thread. Then pry it up with a screwdriver, turn it 90° and pull it out with pliers. If necessary, a screwdriver can be used as a guide, which must be hit to turn the ring.
  6. Following the plastic retaining ring, pull out the unit motor. Handle it carefully as the engine is filled with oil. If necessary, it can be drained.
  7. Remove the cover of the compartment where the wires are connected. It is attached to rubber seals and is knocked out using a flat-head screwdriver.

Now that the pump has been disassembled, it is possible to check all electrical circuits, right down to the motor windings. In a situation where the housing of a household appliance receives an electric current, it is necessary to replace the capacitor. Carefully examine the condition of the plastic impellers, cups and intermediate washers. When worn out, they must be replaced, for which you will have to buy or order an appropriate repair kit. There is no point in putting worn parts back, since when the shaft rotates they will still not be able to create the necessary pressure in the water supply network.

Unlike submersible pumping devices, in the Gilex Jumbo pumping station the hydraulic accumulator and pressure switch most often fail. The motor brushes may also wear out, but to replace them, it is better to contact service specialists. Burnout of the windings is indicated by the smell of melted insulation and plastic; the problem will most likely be solved only by replacing the motor.

The rubber “bulb” in the hydraulic accumulator reservoir cannot be replaced, and if the seal is lost, the entire reservoir must be replaced. To check, it is enough to remove the hydraulic accumulator, disconnecting it from the station, unscrew the side plug and spool, and then fill it with water from the injection side. If water runs through the spool, the battery should be replaced. The same is done with a pressure switch that cannot be adjusted - the entire element is changed.

Reading time: 6 minutes.

Gilex pumps are pressure equipment for water supply, which has come into use since 1993, when the Gileks plant was founded in the Russian city of Klimovsk, Moscow Region.

Pressure equipment for wells and boreholes, for use in open reservoirs and sewers, smart water supply systems and hydraulic accumulators, expansion tanks, pipes and fittings - the plant’s product line is expanding and improving with each passing year.

Features of Gilex pump repair

Despite the fact that Gilex products are strong and durable, like any other equipment they require periodic inspection, preventive maintenance or repair. Fortunately, the range of components and additional equipment allows us to solve problems of any level of complexity. And a wide dealer network and a well-functioning system of service centers can always help with repairs.

But, taking into account the specific mentality of our people and, sometimes, the real inability to take the device to a service center, Gilex pressure equipment can always be repaired with your own hands. However, first, let's figure out what and why can fail in pressure devices.

Diagnosis of the problem

Any pressure equipment gradually wears out, and, due to a number of reasons, can periodically cause its owners some inconveniences that require urgent intervention. Fortunately, the design of the pumps is quite simple:

  • case box;
  • electric motor;
  • sealing system;
  • shaft with impeller;
  • pipe branch;
  • flow channel and check valve;
  • filters;
  • electrical cable

The most common problems that consumers of pressure equipment may encounter are:

  • when connected to the network, the equipment does not turn on - you need to test the contacts, drive and cable;
  • increased noise or vibration during equipment operation - check the engine, shaft bearings and impeller;
  • the motor does not respond - you need (if possible in a particular model) to check and replace the winding;
  • the relay or hydraulic accumulator fails - most likely the reason is a ruptured membrane or a different level of water pressure in the system than stated in the technical data sheet of the product;
  • The pump does not turn off - most likely the problem is a malfunction.

Do-it-yourself Gilex Vodomet pump repair

Let's consider the most common models of Vodomet pressure equipment, which have a similar apparatus structure. This is a model range of submersible pumps labeled Pro - improved specifically for working in wells with sandy walls and bottom.

Models 40/50 (75), 55/35 (50/75/90), 110/110 (75H/110H) practically do not fail from overheating, because equipped with an annular slot for cooling the engine with water. In addition, their design eliminates the valve and pistons system, which contributes to greater durability and added filter system, which does not clog the inlets so often. And two seals for insulating and sealing the electric motor and a remote thermal switch greatly facilitate the diagnostic process and.

Systems of old models Vodomet 60/52 (32/72/92) and 115/75 (115) designed for static water levels from 5 to 25 meters. The main difference between the models is the different number of steps.

Repair of the Gilex Vodomet 60/52 submersible pump must begin with careful disassembly of the device, after an external inspection and diagnostics. If you are disassembling the device for the first time, it is important that the diagram and order of the disassembled parts be strictly observed during subsequent assembly.

Following the instructions from the Gilex company, repairing the Vodomet pump begins with unscrewing the water intake hole. Then we remove all the parts from the shaft, and only then remove the white stopper ring and the motor from the outer cup. The procedure is as follows:

  • install the device in a vertical position;
  • by tapping on the fitting cover, use the engine to move the ring, which cannot be pulled out simply through the thread;
  • set the device in a horizontal position and, pulling the cable back a little, move the motor back;
  • place a screwdriver against the ring and move it so that you can turn it across the body;
  • remove the ring and motor;
  • we disassemble the wiring compartment and check the capacitor compartment for moisture ingress (especially if the device was electrocuted);
  • check ;
  • we check the covers between the stages and the impellers for the degree of wear (we pay special attention to these details if the device hummed, but did not pump water);
  • We check the filter meshes.

Repair of drainage devices Gilex

Drainage devices are specially designed to pump out liquids of varying degrees of contamination from the desired space. All models of this kind are equipped with protective floats to prevent dry running and sealed bearings. Otherwise, modifications differ from model to model in details.

You can repair a faulty Gilex if two problems are observed:

  • the device does not turn on;
  • The device hums, but refuses to work.

In the first case, you should pay attention to the possibility of failure of the capacitor or the winding. The device shutdown may be caused by a short circuit due to voltage surges and a burnt-out winding. In addition, the pressure unit may shut down if the float or float is stuck.

In the second case, either the connection does not work (the cable is frayed outside or inside), or there is a problem with the valve or stem. The rod has broken or the fastenings on the shock absorber have become loose. A broken rod cannot be corrected independently.

Repair of pumping station Gileks

The pumping station is a self-priming surface centrifugal and piping system. Models in this series are designed for horizontal installation and pump from 3 cubic meters of water per hour. Models differ in engine noise level and the presence of automation, which is needed to monitor the water level.

The Gilex unit must be configured in such a way that it turns off if the water level drops below the stated minimum according to the technical data sheet. If the setup and adjustment of the station is incorrect, it will not turn off on time, which will lead to breakdowns.

Let's look at an example of repairing a Gileks pumping station. They are equipped with a pressure switch RDM 5, a tank with membranes (hydraulic accumulator), an electric motor, a centrifugal pumping apparatus, a water intake with a filter and a pipeline system. You can monitor the pressure inside the installation using the arrow on the pressure gauge.

There are five main reasons why a station may fail or not work correctly:

  1. It hums, but doesn't work. This happens if you left your device for a long time without water or movement. The impeller could simply stick to the housing. Twist it manually and try connecting. If it still doesn’t work, check the mains voltage level and the condition of the capacitor.
  2. Doesn't turn on at all. Ring the network, winding, cable with a tester. Perhaps the contacts have simply become loose somewhere, and as soon as you connect them, everything will work again.
  3. It pumps water constantly and does not turn off. You need to configure the relay. It can be adjusted with two mounting springs or screws (depending on which relay is installed in your station model).
  4. The water flow is intermittent. The problem is depressurization of the pipeline or joints. It is also worth checking the water level.
  5. Turning on the device too frequently due to uneven water flow. It is also necessary to check the integrity of the components of the hydraulic accumulator tank. Either you will have to replace the defective membrane, or the tank is cracked, or the relay itself is broken.

In the article presented to your attention, you will learn the principle of the pump design, and will also be able to understand the nuances and aspects that you need to know in order to repair the Vodomet and we will look in more detail using a real example of a real model 60-52. Naturally, you will also get acquainted with the possible problems that are indicated in those. passport and methods of their elimination.

Pump repair

Pump repair urgently required , especially for the private sector it may mean again buckets and watering cans. A significant complication of the situation is if the water supply at the site is organized within the circumference of the well. Naturally, even someone with little knowledge of such matters can repair equipment like the “Rucheek”, but restoring the unit’s functionality is a rather labor-intensive task that is not easy to perform without certain knowledge in this area.

In the case of unqualified repairs, there is a possibility that oil will penetrate into the well, which will have to be eliminated with the help of highly qualified professionals. If you have a specialized service center nearby, then the most rational and correct solution would be to contact them there with such questions. Otherwise, you will have to do such work on your own.

Components. Analysis of components.

Units of this type, specifically designed for interaction with wells, have a certain (different) number of stages, based on the model marking. All parts of this type can be freely divided into several standard categories.

The first and third positions are almost identical in size and are made of high-quality and durable plastic, which together resembles a mushroom in appearance. The glasses, accordingly, are made in a cylinder form factor, which are made from black polyamide.

The bottom is essentially a disk, which is made of the same material, and there is a hole in its center. Together with the glass, they form a double bottom. An anti-friction washer inherently prevents friction of parts; as a rule, during disassembly, blue and white color variations are most often found. The first few are thinner.

Disassembly 60-52

Aimed at interacting with wells, the most effective are certain models 60-32 and 150-30, in the case of a water level of no more than five meters, and for deeper ones 60-52 and 150-45 are intended.

To repair the water cannon, you should first unscrew the cover, equipped with specialized holes, to then remove the remaining parts. If you need to clamp the device in a vice, be extremely careful, since the inside is hollow. The best solution would be a rubber lining (dense) on all sides.

Next, disassemble the pump part. The parts being removed from the shaft should be carefully laid out, which will allow them to be returned to their place in the future in the same but reverse order. Remove the retaining ring and motor. To do this, you will need to install the unit vertically. Try lightly tapping the top cover with a rubber mallet, which will allow the engine to move the ring out of place.

Trying to remove through the thread will be unsuccessful as it will not be able to fit through it. After you place the pump in a horizontal position, pull the cable and pull the motor away. Remove the roof of the compartment containing the wires, place the engine on its side and, using a powerful screwdriver and a mallet (rubber), knock it out as carefully as possible.

Indicated faults

The main malfunctions, as well as their causes and methods of elimination, are outlined for the units. But in a huge number of cases, there will simply be a recommendation to contact a specialized service center. Two additional failures that are not included in the passport are very often mentioned by experts: water is not pumped during startup, and the device receives electric shock without making any sounds.

The first malfunction symbolizes that the impellers and stage covers have worn out. And in the second option, we will talk about a capacitor failure. More than likely, it is simply caused by exposure to moisture, which in a certain way gets through the cable input directly into the condenser compartment. Naturally, such a part will only be subject to replacement with a serviceable one.

Sufficiently careful and careful handling of the unit will extend its service life, without any problems, but from time to time you will still have to carry out preventive maintenance either yourself or by contacting a specialized service center. The difficulty of self-repair will lie not only in the ability to disassemble a somewhat complex device, but also to find the necessary replacement parts, which is even more problematic, why the best solution would really be to contact such a center.

You can order the necessary parts exclusively either through a service tool or directly from the factory, unless, of course, you have another identical device as a donor, which generally complicates the possibility of self-repair, and therefore you should make sure that you have, or the availability of spare parts before you disassemble the unit.

Submersible pump “Vodomet” - this unit is on a par with the well-known “Malysh” and “Rucheyok” - brands whose name was transformed into a proper name, denoting a whole niche in the market for small-sized and simple pumps for autonomous wells.

At the same time, all of the above-mentioned units attract consumers not only with their reasonable price and noticeable performance, but also with the ease with which repair work is carried out to restore the functionality of the pumps.

Therefore, in this article we will look at repairing the Gilex Vodomet pump using the 60/52 model as an example. In a word, we invite you to appreciate the simplicity of the design solution of this unit and get acquainted with the secrets of its repair. Perhaps this will determine your preferences when choosing a pump for an autonomous water supply system.

Borehole pumps "Vodomet": overview of the typical design

The basis of any pump is the casing. And this part of the “Water Cannon” unit is made in the form of a metal cylinder. It is in it that the engine is mounted, on the shaft of which the impeller is placed.

Moreover, the impeller is separated from the engine compartment by a special liner through which the shaft passes. In turn, the impeller itself consists of a repeating set of disks, alternating in the following order:

1 - First white disk with external blades, 2 - First black washer, matching in diameter with the white disk, 3 - First “glass” with internal blades, 4 - Second white disk with blades, 5 - Second washer, 6 - Third white disk with blades, 7 — Second “glass” with internal blades, 8 — Third washer, 9 — Fourth disk with external blades, 10 — Third “glass” with internal blades, 11 — Fourth washer, 12 — Fourth “glass” with internal blades, 13 — Fifth washer, 14 — White plug with perforation in the center, 15 —
Black lid with a round hole in the center, 16 - Short cylinder with a mesh at the bottom - filter element

This is exactly how any Vodomet pump is designed. That is, a similar alternation of disks, washers and “cups” is present in models designed to operate in 5-meter water columns (series 60/32, 150/30), and in devices submersible to 20-40 meters (series 60 /52, 150/45). During assembly, a small anti-friction washer (blue and white) is installed between each element. All other elements - washers, discs, and “cups” - are made of polyamide.

This pump is designed for vertical installation in clean water, which is quite typical for all submersible units of the Vodomet brand. Moreover, its design is practically no different from similar products from other model ranges of this brand. Therefore, the repair procedure applicable to model 60/52 can be extended to other pumps from .

Repairing the Vodomet 60/52 pump: how it’s done

Submersible pumps fail for three reasons:

  • Firstly, in case of siltation of the impeller.
  • Secondly, in the event of a break in the electrical cable.
  • Thirdly, in case of failure of engine compartment components (stator or rotor).

Moreover, when diagnosing a problem, you should be guided by the following rules:

  • If during a test run the shaft of a pump removed from the well rotates, then the impeller is the problem area. Clean it of sludge and the pump can be reassembled in reverse order.
  • If the pump does not even turn on, then you need to check (ring with a tester) the power cable. If there is voltage at the engine compartment terminals, then the cable is intact. Well, if not, then it will have to be replaced with a new one. Finding a break and fixing it by twisting or soldering is not the best idea. After all, the tightness of the cable will still be broken.
  • If the cable is fine, then the problem is in the motor. And the pump will have to be disassembled to the engine compartment to remove and rewind the stator or rotor.

And in each case, repair of the unit begins with complete disassembly.

  • A short cylinder with a perforated bottom is screwed from the end of the pump - a filter element that protects the impeller from silting.
  • Next, all washers, “cups” and disks are removed from the pump motor shaft in the reverse order to that described above (in the review of the impeller design). Moreover, all numerous elements should be laid on a flat area of the workbench in the order of removal from the body. After all, the impeller consists of 16 parts. And this is not counting the same number of anti-friction washers.
  • Further disassembly down to the engine compartment level begins with the removal of the engine retaining ring covering the engine cover. To do this, you need to hit the upper fitting with a mallet, move the engine down, and then pull the cord to return it to its place. Moreover, after all the manipulations, the sealing ring will remain in the “shifted” position. Next, the retaining ring is displaced by hitting it with a screwdriver to the part closest to the body. The stopper will warp, after which it can be removed.
  • After this, you need to disconnect the wires by opening the cover of the corresponding compartment, and, using a screwdriver and a mallet, “knock out” the engine from the housing.

After removal from the housing, the impeller elements are washed and dried, and the engine is sent for diagnostics and repair to a specialized workshop. After cleaning the impeller and updating the engine, the Vodomet 60/52 pump is assembled in the reverse order to that described above.

In order for the well to operate smoothly, it is necessary to install special equipment. This is the Vodomet pump, which can be installed near a water source. In addition, there are other modifications of Vodomet pumps that can be submerged under the surface of the water surface. Such pumps allow you to supply the required volumes of water from the well and supply it to the house and outbuildings.

Do-it-yourself repair of submersible pumping stations

A submersible centrifugal multi-stage pump powered by the Vodomet electrical network was created by the manufacturer to supply water from deep wells with a diameter of more than 100 mm, as well as from wells, reservoirs, and is used for water supply to private houses, in watering works in gardens and vegetable gardens. This product is suitable for pumping “sandy” water, i.e. water containing up to several kilograms of sand per cubic meter. The device uses a mesh filter that protects it from the penetration of particles that can clog the passage elements. Parts of the pump that come into contact with water are made of materials that are approved for contact with food. The efficient centrifugal principle of pumping water makes Vodomet pumps more attractive compared to vibration-type analogues.

Such reliable pumps can also break down, just like any equipment they need inspection and periodic repair. Malfunctions of such products can be different, most often related to the motor. The causes of breakdowns are associated with improper operation, exposure to water, sand and small particles that penetrate inside the pump.

To eliminate the shortcomings it is necessary:

  • Remove the water pump from the well;
  • The top cover of the case is removed;
  • You need to disassemble the pump part with your own hands according to the instructions, inspect all the parts to determine the cause of the breakdown;
  • After this, the electric motor is dismantled and all its components are carefully inspected;
  • Next, inspect the condition of valves and filters, which most often fail.

Another reason could be depressurization of the housing. This occurs when the pump casing touches the walls of the well. During operation, the equipment vibrates and inevitably hits the walls of the well. This can be avoided by correctly selecting the diameter of the equipment and mounting it in such a way that the device does not touch the walls of the well.

Well pump repair: breakdown and disassembly

Borehole pumps are designed for pumping water from considerable depths, allowing for the creation of fairly large reserves.

Borehole pumps operate in difficult operating conditions. Despite the fact that the materials from which the equipment is made have a good margin of safety, they must always be visually inspected in order to avoid costly repairs in the event of minor breakdowns.

What are the main causes of pump failures? When a breakdown occurs, indirect signals can be observed: water pressure decreases, noise and vibration appear, water is supplied intermittently, and energy consumption increases. If such symptoms occur, the pump must be lifted from the well and a detailed inspection must be carried out.

The main reason could be:

  • Clogging of the screw filter with particles and fibers of varying degrees of abrasiveness;
  • The seal of the housing is broken, water penetrates inside the pump;
  • The pump operates on the “dry running” principle, friction occurs between the pump parts, and its power consumption increases;
  • Voltage fluctuations negatively affect the entire system;
  • The temperature of the pumped water is high, up to + 40 degrees;
  • The capacitor has failed;
  • The pump sensors are not set correctly.

In order to know the exact cause of the breakdown, you need to:

  • Lift the pump from the well;
  • Remove the top cover;
  • Disassembling the pump according to the instructions (the diagram is included in the package);
  • We inspect all the parts of the pump, looking for the cause of the breakdown;
  • We also inspect the electric motor;
  • It is necessary to check the filter elements and valves, which become clogged first;
  • We look at the condition of the pipe;
  • We monitor the automatic pump control unit, sensors, relays, and the integrity of the electrical cable.

Installation and repair of Gilex pumps

The company "Dzhileks" produces borehole pumps of excellent quality, which are distinguished by high technological characteristics. These pumps are used to supply water in individual homes, cottages, commercial enterprises and other areas of their application.

At the time of buyingpump must be guided by the following parameters:

  1. Device installation location. They are surface and submersible.
  2. Operating principle. Pumps are divided into: screw centrifugal, vortex, vibration.
  3. Water supply system parameters. They depend on the depth of the water, the number of water intake points, and the length of the water supply system.

One of the most common malfunctions is when the equipment does not pump water when turned on. If you listen closely, you can hear a barely noticeable hum. This indicates partial wear of the covers that are located between the stages of the impellers. To do this, the pump must be disassembled and the covers and impellers that have become unusable must be replaced. After this, reassembly is performed.

Water cannon 60 52: malfunctions and repairs

There is no better solution for providing water to residents of country houses, dachas, and cottages than using a faithful assistant - a water jet pump 60 52. It is capable of lifting cubic meters of water even from considerable depths in a well. The product is equipped with several levels of protection, which allows them to pump water of varying degrees of contamination.

The difference in the design of such pumps from other analogues is that they submerge under the surface of the water and are capable of pumping it even to great heights. Equipment of this type is perfectly adapted for domestic operating conditions. This is expressed in the use of special polymers, graphite and ceramics, which extend the service life of products. The main problems that caused the failure are caused by the penetration of dirt, sand, and other solid particles into the engine, as well as gross errors during operation, in particular, the lack of oil level in the engine.
