Crafts from toilet paper cylinders. New Year's crafts from cardboard toilet paper rolls

Sometimes we have more creative materials at home than in any specialty store. Often in everyday life we use accessories that leave paper or cardboard waste, using which you can significantly save on the purchase of raw materials and, at the same time, participate in waste recycling.

For example, toilet paper rolls, which should not be thrown away hastily, but when they accumulate, there will be many ways to use the tubes in business. We tried to highlight the best ideas for toilet roll crafts.

Animals

By combining pieces of tubes at different angles, twigs and, for example, felt, it is interesting to create different creatures. Thus, after several crafts, a whole zoo will appear from the bushings at home.

Elephant

We cut out a rectangle of paper with a width equal to two tubes attached to each other, and a little more than two in length. We attach two tubes to one side of the rectangle by the ends and attach them in the same way to the other side. You should get a body and four tube legs standing vertically.

We glue the head-tube to the edge of the body perpendicular to the legs. We cut out two circles and a strip from paper, glue the circles to the back of the head, slightly wrapping the tube around the circumference, and glue the strip in the middle of the head - this is the trunk.

Above the trunk we attach eyes for toys that are sold in sewing stores or that we make ourselves. We attach three semicircles on the front of each to the ends of the elephant's paws.

Owl

Paint the tube in the desired color. After drying, press with your finger from one edge to the middle, then also from the opposite, so that you get pointed ears.

From paper we cut out circles for the eyes (two large white ones, two small black ones) and for the breast (several circles slightly smaller than the eyes), wings to match the sleeve and a triangular beak.

Using glue, we attach the circles to the sleeve in the order of the scales, glue the eyes and beak. For these parts, you can use 3D felt, corrugated or velvet paper.

Bunny

We cut the tube so that we get nine rings. We smooth out one ring after cutting and leave it for the body, we slightly pinch the other on one side, making it like a heart, and glue it to the body with a rounded part, this will be the bunny’s head.

Now we make a full-fledged heart from one ring, bringing the two ends of the two circles deep into the center. We fasten it inside the head closer to the connection with the body.

Then we turn the next ring into the letter “c” and glue it to the body with a straight line from below the head, we get the front legs. We make the other two rings identical, cut the circle on one side and, breaking it, bend it towards the inside, making small and large petals. These are the two hind legs and we will attach them to the sides of the body.

To make ears, we pinch part of the circle inward at two rings and attach it to the head. All that remains is to glue the fluffy nose to the inverted heart inside the head and to the nose a pair of felt eyes.

Taking this idea as a basis, you can conduct master classes on crafts from toilet rolls in children's institutions.

Organizer

This functional use of bushings will be useful for needlewomen, artists and all those who love order and neatness in the workplace, as well as those who are interested in how to make a craft from a toilet bushing with their own hands.

To make a container, you will need several sleeves of different sizes (for example, from paper towels, toilet paper, twine), but of high strength, a pallet (this can be a board, a lid from a cardboard or tin box, or an unnecessary ceramic plate), superglue or a hot glue gun, design items.

First, glue the bushings together so that on one side they are at the same level. We strengthen the connection on the base. We paint with a spray can or regular paint.

It was possible to pre-cover all the bushings and the base separately with a beautiful fabric. After attaching all the parts, we decorate the edges of the sleeves with beads, stones, bias tape or lace.

Decorative panel

Thinking about what other crafts can be made from bushings, ideas that come to mind are primarily of a decorative nature. Such a craft can serve as a frame for a mirror, a frame for a picture or photo, or hang and decorate the house as an independent element.

We will need to cut a lot of bushings into rings. You can pinch them in the form of droplets, eyes, leave them round, or cut them and make curls.

The panel can consist of monotonous parts glued together in a circle or of combined different elements; it can be glued in order or chaotically.

After gluing together and drying, the panels can be spray-painted in one color, or, if you want a mosaic effect, you can pre-paint each element in a certain color and then glue it together.

It would also be a good idea to supplement the panel with twigs, twine, woolen threads, and flowers. In addition, this panel can easily be turned into a useful and designer item - a lampshade, a vase or a base for a wall clock.

Caring for birds

This is a very good solution for the winter holidays, which will definitely use your time usefully. Just take the sleeve, clean it of paper and glue, coat it with peanut butter or honey, and then roll it in a plate with grains, seeds, corn, or in a pre-purchased mixture for birds.

We hang the finished feeder on a rope or simply string it on a branch. Birds will be happy with such yummy food in the winter cold.

Photos of crafts made from toilet bushings

All civilized people know what toilet paper is for. But what do you do with a cardboard core whose only purpose is to serve as a base for the roll while it lasts? website knows at least a dozen ways to use this item in the household and we will not hide these secrets from you.

Pot for flowers and seedlings

We cut and fold the edges so that a bottom is formed. We fill in the earth and plant our plant. The sleeve is made of paper, and this is the same cellulose - a biodegradable material, so you can bury the pots in the ground and forget about them.

Bird feeders

Feeding the birds in winter is a sacred task. Coat the bushing with oil or anything sticky and edible. Sprinkle with grains and seeds, cereals. We hang it out the window and have fun.

Alternative to curlers

You don’t wear curlers to the store or for a walk in the park, do you? And if everything happens at home, then why stand on ceremony - you can also use bushings, fortunately, the size is suitable.

Toy Warehouse

We remember that the bushing is very durable, right? Therefore, even without any fasteners, they can be used to build a honeycomb structure inside a certain frame-base for storing a variety of small items.

Cable box

Some people tie the cables in a knot so they don’t get tangled, but we’ll just make a separate case for each from an old grommet. Cheap, cheerful, convenient. And there was a use for the shoe box.

Cable sorting

Cardboard is also easy to write and draw on, so we can very easily sort all the wires and label the storage for each one. There’s no need for a box here, you can just put it in a corner.

Packing lock

If you have a roll of something that tends to unwind, you can simply thread the roll into the sleeve. And that’s it, it will hold and look neat. Profit.

Incinerator

You can put smoldering coals inside the sleeve, in the absence of other devices for transporting fire. And if you need to light several fires in succession, for kebabs or barbecues, this can become a lifesaver.

Who would have thought that from this waste material, which many throw away without thinking, you can make original and useful things!
Looking at this composition, you can never tell what it is made of. Looks beautiful and airy!

Owls are one of the most popular figurines used to decorate the New Year tree. Potter lovers will especially like this Christmas tree toy.

I love this adorable snowman! I will definitely try to implement this idea with my child.

To make such a Santa Claus, the sleeve must be covered with colored paper. Then fold the ends inward, as in the picture.
Extend the lower ends so that they look like legs. Glue the folds together on top and secure a loop for hanging the New Year's craft. After this, cut out a triangle from white paper and glue it to the craft. Use a black marker to draw a face, add boots, arms and a belt.
You can put a small gift in such a grandfather, you can hang it on the New Year's tree as a toy, or you can decorate a New Year's gift with it.

It's amazing how many bright, unusual and fun toys you can create with a simple toilet paper roll! To do this, you may need markers, paints, pieces of colored paper and a lot of imagination!

An excellent solution for those who cannot get a real Christmas tree. It saves space and develops creativity!
And here is an unusual, but quite interesting toy for the New Year tree!
Everyone knows that Santa Claus uses reindeer. The roll must be folded in half and cuts made, as shown in the figure. Unfold the sleeve and form the back. To prevent the parts from opening, they can be glued together. Decorate the deer's face and antlers, draw eyes, and glue on the nose from a small pom-pom.

As you can see, with the help of bushings you can simply create a whole army of Christmas characters. My favorites are definitely the snowmen!

To create this decoration you will need several cardboard tubes. The bigger, the better. You also need to prepare a beautiful long rope or regular braid, colored markers or any paints. You might also find clippings from magazines, preferably New Year's themed, useful. The sleeves can be decorated in any style, it all depends only on your imagination. First, decorate the cardboard cylinders, and then stick magazine cutouts on them: Christmas trees, stars, snowflakes, Santa Clauses, Snow Maidens, gift boxes.
And finally, make small holes in each sleeve, and stretch the tape through the holes. The edges of the braid can be decorated with bows made from thin ribbons. This garland will look good both on the Christmas tree and somewhere on the wall.

To make such a snowflake, fasten the pieces of cut-out parts from the sleeve together, and then paint with white acrylic or water-based paint. Let the craft dry and decorate the ends with glitter.

One of the most popular and at the same time original items among craftswomen has recently become crafts made from bushings. As you know, a true craftsman never runs out of ideas. Various materials are used to implement them. Some craftswomen, seeing what many consider unnecessary trash, already know how to give this thing a second life. The result is very interesting and even useful things for the home.

One of the most original materials, which have recently begun to be used very often, are bushings. They can remain from toilet paper, paper towels and even linoleum. All this should not be thrown away, because these cardboard tubes can be an excellent material for creating extremely interesting things. Those who are still quite skeptical about the idea of creating useful and beautiful things from bushings have simply never encountered such a process.

Working with such material is very simple and convenient. Even beginners can make most of the products. From the bushings you can make convenient things for storing stationery, vases, lamps and even toys for children. Therefore, there is no need to rush to throw away this useful material.

Crafts made from toilet rolls, which remain after all the paper has been rolled up from them, can be very useful in the household; for example, you can make convenient organizers for storing various things and small items. For example, if you glue several sleeves together, and then fix them on a cardboard base and paint them with a spray can or regular paints, you will get an excellent desktop device for storing stationery. It can be further decorated by using buttons, various accessories, items made of polymer clay, etc. It turns out very beautiful! And it is also a very convenient thing.

An organizer for storing various small items is another option for crafts made from toilet paper rolls, a photo of which can be seen just below. But for this you will have to prepare a box. The rolls are tightly inserted into the box so that they do not dangle there. It turns out to be a box with many cells. You can store sewing accessories or small construction supplies such as nails, screws, etc. in them. It is very convenient when everything is sorted and in its place.

In addition to crafts from toilet paper rolls, you can make pots for seedlings. This makes it as easy as possible to plant it in the ground without the risk of damaging the existing roots of the plant.

Children's crafts from bushings

Attention!

Working with cardboard sleeves is very simple, but you will definitely need scissors and glue, so the entire process of creating toys should be carried out exclusively under the supervision of adults. To work, you need to stock up on colored paper, glue, scissors and, in fact, the bushings themselves.

There can be many ideas for making children's crafts from toilet paper rolls, but it is better to start with simple options. For example, you can invite your child to make a racing car with his own hands. To do this, take a cardboard sleeve and cut out a small oval on one side of it, which will be a place for the pilot of the car. After this, the hub can be painted in the desired colors, not forgetting to indicate the car number, because we are talking about racing.

Next, cut out 4 medium circles from black colored paper, approximately the size of the diameter of the sleeve. You will also need 2 small yellow circles, which will symbolize the headlights. We glue the black wheels and headlights into place and wait for the racing car to dry completely. You can make 5 or 6 of these machines to organize real competitions.

You can make a lot of other equipment from toilet paper rolls. These could be airplanes, rockets, etc.

In addition, this type of material makes simply excellent little animals. You can make a whole puppet theater out of them. There is nothing easier than making a hare, bear or fox from a cardboard roll. To do this, you need to paint the base in a suitable color, and then glue parts cut out of colored paper (ears, tails and eyes) to it.

For Easter you can make a themed craft from a sleeve. For this we need only 1 roll, paint, colored paper and glue. From half a sheet of colored paper, cut out an oval and make cuts along its edges to create a fringe. Then we cut the sleeve in one place lengthwise. On the side opposite to this cut we make 2 small cuts. We paint everything yellow and glue the sleeve to the base so that the edges of the cut diverge by a centimeter.

After this, you need to cut out the head with neck, wings and tail of the bird from double-sided colored paper. The head and tail must be inserted into the cuts prepared in advance. They should just be at the top. We glue the wings on the sides, draw the beak and eyes. It turns out a chicken that sits in a nest of hay. This sleeve craft will be relevant not only for Easter, but also for the New Year, which this time will be the Year of the Rooster.

What can you make from towel rolls?

Attention! The rolls left over from paper towels are twice as large as those from toilet paper, so they can be used to create other useful and interesting things.

For example, from this material you can create a rather original and convenient pencil case for a schoolchild.

For this paper towel roll craft, in addition to the main material, you will need fabric, thread, scissors, a zipper and very good glue. First of all, you need to measure everything clearly. Cut a circle about 3 cm from the sleeve. Next you need to sew the cover. To do this, we sew a pipe from the selected fabric, sewn up at the bottom, which should completely accommodate the sleeve. At the place where the piece of roll was cut off, you need to make an incision in the fabric and sew a zipper into it.

The cut location must be well secured with glue in those places where the zipper will pass, so that the sleeve does not come out through the hole every time the pencil case is opened. It turns out to be a very useful thing in which you can store stationery, paint brushes, etc.

You can also make a cat toy from paper towel rolls. To do this, you need to glue various threads, feathers, bows on strings, etc. to it with high-quality glue. Then a strong rope is threaded through the sleeve to hold the entire toy. It can be secured, for example, under a table. The cat will be interested in rolling his toy with his paw. But you need to glue everything carefully, since cats have very sharp claws. The sleeve can first be wrapped with a strong rope, on which the animal can sharpen its claws.

Looking for new creative ideas? Then pay attention to toilet paper rolls. Once you see what you can do with them, you will stop throwing away this useful item.

Everyone has heard the joke that half of your salary goes down the toilet. In addition to food costs, you can add the purchase of toilet paper. To somehow compensate for expenses, enterprising crafters use bushings to create all kinds of crafts. So, what crafts can you make from a toilet paper roll with your own hands? Get inspired and create, because it’s not at all difficult and absolutely inexpensive, but original and practical!

Stands for pencils and cosmetic accessories

By saving up a few bushings, you can make a stylish organizer for stationery or an original stand for cosmetic brushes, pencils and mascara. By varying the height of miniature storage units, you can easily get a customized accessory that can hold everything you need.

To make your own toilet paper roll organizer, you first need to decorate each piece. This can be done in different ways:

  • paint with acrylic paints in one tone or in different colors;
  • decorate with decoupage;
  • cover with colored paper or vinyl self-adhesive film;
  • cover with fabric, burlap, lace or leather (natural from old things or artificial);
  • decorate with multi-colored buttons;
  • “dress” in knitted covers;
  • wrap with jute rope or satin ribbons;
  • decorate with strips of colored tape (it looks more impressive if they are of different colors).

The bottom of the sleeve organizer can be sealed with cardboard, plywood or wood - choose from what you have at hand.

If you don’t have the time or desire to decorate or need a large organizer, take a box of the right size, fill it with sleeves and use it! In such storage you can keep chargers, hair ties, hairpins, buttons, scissors, and screwdrivers.

You can also toss this idea to your husband to clean up his garage, closet or balcony. It is advisable to glue the outside of the box, after all, you are a needlewoman.
