He has less than 10% of his life left - one hit and a frag in his pocket! The reload has already come to an end, but then one of the allies shoots ahead of you and, possibly, kills enemy. But you can't tell for sure - from this distance, it's almost impossible! You, nevertheless, decide to launch a control projectile into the ST hull, but ... Alas, in vain! The frag was credited to another tanker, and you got a bill for an extra wasted shell and a minus to the accuracy of shooting. It seems to be a trifle, but unpleasant… So that this situation does not happen again in the future, we bring to your attention the White Corpses of Tanks 0.8.10 mod!
What does the mod do
From the name it is clear that the mod "repaints" the corpses of allied and enemy tanks in White color. This is very convenient if there are few shells left in the tank, but you need to act instantly. Now you don't have to check the "last destroyed tanks" column in the lower right corner of the screen to make sure - was the tank really killed, the hull of which is a little out of the bushes, or is it worth firing a couple more shells?[yt=yVj-xEsGppA]
Another advantage is that now you won't have to spoil your eyesight by looking for an enemy tank that hid behind the corpse of another tank! After all, with this mod they will not " merge”, because the color of the armor of a “live” tank is very different from the “white corpse”.

Important: In the middle of summer 2019, a new patch is released and the mod installation folder will change, now they need to be installed in the WOT/res_mods/1.5.1/ and WOT/mods/1.5.1/ folders. White corpses (skins or skeletons, as you wish) of destroyed tanks - this is a very old, but still popular mod, which is recognized by both "extras" and ordinary tankers.
Pros of white textures
Each hit in the World of Tanks is of great importance and the player's task is to expose himself to enemy fire as little as possible. Fire can be avoided by hiding behind a house, a hill, or, for example, the skeleton of a destroyed tank. It is very difficult to target an enemy who hid behind a destroyed car, because the textures merge into one dark mess, due to which the effectiveness of such a shelter increases significantly.
But having installed white skins, after its destruction, each tank will change its standard textures to white ones, and if the opponent wishes to hide behind such a skeleton, then it will not be difficult to target him. This is the main advantage of such textures.
There is also a myth (unfortunately, not confirmed) that the white version of the textures loads the computer less, which leads to an increase in the frame rate. But I wouldn’t count on it, it’s better to use the program
