Vulnerabilities of the E-100 tank

The lower armor plate is a weak point of the tank, so it needs to be hidden. For example, behind a temporary shelter.

Penetration zones of the E-100 tank

Because E-100 almost the same machine as the Maus, we will also consider two options. The first one is if you are on a top ST. The second option is the top TT.

Option one - you are on a top medium tank.

Although the lower armor plate is quite a weak spot, but we won’t be able to penetrate it, because of the angle of inclination, it’s more than 50 degrees there and we just don’t have enough armor penetration.

But everyone has an Achilles heel, and the E-100 is no exception. We will be able to regularly deal damage by shooting at the "rail" on the tank's turret. But be careful after the recent update, its height has been greatly reduced and if you aim from a long distance, you can miss. In close combat, this is your salvation.

You can also shoot at the "cap" on the tank's turret and damage will also pass through it. The fact is that it shoots through and the damage goes into the crossbar. So the tank will receive the same damage.

At the same time, the ears along the edges of this bar do not let through damage, unlike the ears of the "cheburashka" T29. When firing at an angle, we, just like in the forehead, do not pierce the E-100, except of course for the crossbar on the tower.

When firing at the sides, the situation is more convenient for us - we break through the side of the tower, especially there is no need to aim anywhere. But when shooting at the hull, the “screen protection” starts to work and we have a chance of penetrating the tank less than 50%, and with increasing distance, the percentage of penetration decreases greatly.

It is better to shoot at the side of the tower, or under the armor on the rollers, thereby taking regular damage and knocking down the caterpillar.

There is nothing difficult with breaking through the stern. Since the turret of the E-100 is built from the Maus tank, the characteristic "knob" is easily broken through.

We also quite easily pierce the tank into the lower rear armor plate. Only with great bad luck you will not be able to break through it.

Option two - you are on a top heavy tank.

The first thing we pay attention to is the lower armor plate. Its thickness is 150 mm at an angle of 50 degrees, it is large and breaks through us very confidently. The turret has 240 mm - it is also located at a slight angle, so it will be more difficult to break through it than the lower armor plate.

If the enemy is standing at an angle to you, we also calmly break through the lower armor plate. But the side of the turret ricochets and you shouldn't touch the side armor because of the "screen protection" we won't penetrate it. But you can shoot under the armor and the damage will take place regularly, unless the projectile goes into the front of the caterpillar.

If you are with E-100 agreed in the clinch, then he will suffer even more from you. In addition to the pierced crossbar on the tank turret, you can pierce the base of the turret, there is a characteristic seam. It's been buffed since the recent update, but since it's at right angles to us, we hit it regularly.

Frontal armor

The thickness of the armor of the upper armor plate is 200 mm of pure steel, add to this the angle of inclination of 60 degrees, and we have an almost invulnerable place. However, the thickness of the lower armor plate has an armor of 150 mm at an angle of inclination of 50 degrees, this is perhaps the most vulnerable spot in the E-100.

Side screens
